if a player gets a single and three walks, that player is 1-1
I never knew that. I always thought an at bat was anytime you stood at the plate with a bat, no matter the outcome of the at bat.

Well blow me down, Olive.

also say a player is batting, and the count is 3-2...and a runner is thrown out trying to steal, that is not an AB either

I just don't get that at all.

So there is no one counting the actual times that some one stands at the plate with a bat.

Guess I'm over thinking this whole thing.
It would count as a plate appearance, I guess
I have not seen that stat in eons, but I don't pay much attention sometimes, especially when the Reds are down, which is pretty much always hahahaha

It wouldn’t count against the batter. So no AB.

You’re thinking of plate appearances

I’m a Bonds fan. Was a fan when he was a Pirate. Was a fan of his Dad. Saw him hit a lot of homers in person. Think he should be in the Hall, he was a hall of famer before roids.

Mr. Aaron is the record holder.
Not a Bonds fan. He’s the record holder. I don’t really care about the asterisk.
