they're both pretty bad. Anything that gets pitched along with dread disease type stuff is massively overpriced. Margins for outfits like AFLAC are enormous.

I would give that award to Burial Insurance. Many policy holders pay more in premiums than the death benefit.

how do people not simply go to a life policy that would pay it off and do so cheaply?

Farm subsidies are the biggest ripoff and government hand out. Half the people who get money dont even farm. Alot of them are millionaires who dont need it. Its a complete rip-off that cost more that all the other forms of welfare.

i have disability insurance through my company that will pay my full salary for something like six months. it's a lot cheaper and the statistics say you are far more likely to be disabled for 1-6 months under the age of 60 than you are to die or get permamently disabled.

old people are stupid. also you can qualify for these death policies a lot easier than most guaranteed life policies.

The companies take advantage of people who cannot get normal life plans, and they usually quote weekly premiums that sound cheap. Also they are mostly debit plans where the agent collects, thereby keeping the policy active.
