I’ve got to find something new to spend my time on. Coming on this board 37 times a day just to get pissed off is getting old. I’m starting to hate college football.

I only check 1 time a day. That is about all I can take. When I joined back in 2011, it was a great place to come to to see what was happening in Tennessee sports, and Freak has created a forum for just about anyone to speak their minds, within reason of course. With NIL, coming on here now, the post are dominated by talk of the portal, who is in the portal, who is coming in via the portal, how much someone is getting for transferring. It's not really about athletics anymore.

Pure VFL here. But when we are concerned over losing a player like this,Bishop as a player. Then we are in trouble. He was great in HS but less than adequate in sec. He got the obligatory hometown offer to best player in town. Love that kid got an opportunity but we lose nothing if he leaves

They are on a college team, but how many actually go to class?

Beause at the rate this is going, the new recruits are going have to step up big time.

As his biggest proponent during his recruitment I hope this works out. Not a big stats guy, but he averaged more YPC than Sampson with his much smaller sample size. Both our young backs have 3 years of eligibility in front of them and had plenty of positive feedback from CJH. We have two different backs coming in. So yes with all that youth, I would welcome a one year wonder from the portal, but not going to freak out if we pass. Glad the two got experience this year.

And that just adds another reason why I say bowls are now irrelevant. You don’t know if a team is even interested, how many players are going to hit the portal, how many are going to opt out and which ones are going to quit at halftime. It’s a joke.

I like watching the Vols as much as possible. It at least lets you get a sneak peak at your younger players.. I also agree for the most part they are becoming irrelevant.

They should outlaw the tampering period. The player should have to make that move. College players shouldn’t have folks hounding them, if the player wants to leave he should notify team or collective. Everybody should be able to get behind a no tampering policy and anyone like agents or anyone else trying to pry a player away without the player reaching out first should be dealt with harshly. GBO
