Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency, and the Future of Global Finance

I think that crypto currencies are currently overvalued. I haven’t seen a convincing opposing argument to change my mind. But I’ve seen posts DIRECTLY calling me a troll, a hypocrite, a white knight, delusional, a self proclaimed victim…

Another reason I hope this thread does not ever get deleted

Why would they care if it's all automated? They don't have to do anything except for update a merchant setting to auto-convert. It probably won't even have to happen on their end, TBH. Visa, MC, Paypal, etc. can just convert it to US$ before it hits the small business owner's account.

I guess we will see if we get there.

I didn’t say elements of digital transactions aren’t viable. I said that I believe crypto currencies to be overvalued. Also, as one of the critics that I linked said, the volatility interferes with the utility. Daily 20% swings in a currency’s value cripple it as a means of transacting business. To be fair they were addressing Bitcoin specifically, but that one has by far the largest market cap.

Some cryptos are overvalued. Some are undervalued. Figure out which is which and make some $ with us.

The Solyndra deal falling through didn't convince you that is was a BS deal that failed to demonstrate that protectionism works. Nothing will ever convince you of anything that you don't want to believe.

I don’t believe that any are undervalued in the long view.

I’m not getting what a solar company scamming BHO 10 years ago out of a half billion has to do with CC valuations.

Your last sentence is BS.

I've been playing in it for a while. My initial investment is covered and all I'm using now is profit.

Or maybe I'm risking my kids college fund because of the advice in this thread. You know how likely that scenario is

Ah, I've read a few more posts in here. That sentence makes more sense now.

Nevermind me, carry on.

The regulation of it, not the reduced mining.

I still don't get how we get to near zero? One authoritarian country stopped mining and so the value will be zero, lol?

It's funny that he thinks the value is zero but needs the governments all over the world to collectively choke it to death in order to make its value zero. What a tool
