China has announced every year or at least twice a year they have banned BTC since 2013. Announce they ban it, wait until it touches support, and then they buy huge amounts and ride it back up. Russia doing the same IMO.

some whale like a country, or a silicon valley prick like ****erburg will buy a billion to get kids to start throwing in again, then they will bombard social with influencers.

if you know anything about crypto you know it's impossible to "ban" bitcoin.

can't believe how cheap XRP is. All financial markets are just brutal right now.

Yep!!!

I have acquired a considerable amount of XRP on Sologenic. All the XRP pairs are up big today especially $RPR. It is sitting at 45% increase today alone.

That article was very interesting, and I do agree that cryptocurrencies are a ponzi scheme. However, when I clicked on the "About" link on that website, I see this.

definitely not a ponzi scheme and it's not surprising a Socialist paper would discourage innovation outside of a government regulated entity.

Mark Zuckerberg’s ambitious plan to build his own cryptocurrency is falling apart, amid growing pressure from regulators.

The Diem Association, which oversees development of the Diem digital currency, is considering a sale of its assets, in order to return capital to its investors, according to a Bloomberg report released Wednesday morning.

Diem is reportedly in talks now with investment bankers about next steps, including how to sell its intellectual property, in an effort to capture whatever value is left. Sources speaking to Bloomberg say that the company is also trying to find a new destination for the engineers who developed this technology.

Crypto advocates blast House China bill for ransomware proposal

The bill includes language that would grant the Treasury secretary more authority to freeze or monitor financial accounts used for cross-border illegal activity.

Cryptocurrency proponents are blistering a House bill designed to bolster the United States' economic competitiveness with China, saying it could subject financial institutions to unchecked monitoring and oversight from the Treasury Department.

What the bill says: The competitiveness bill released by House Democrats Tuesday night, H.R. 4521, includes language that would grant the Treasury secretary more authority to freeze or monitor financial accounts used for cross-border illegal activity.

The language authored by Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) is intended to address the use of digital assets in ransomware attacks, money laundering and other frauds.

The Senate passed its version of the competitiveness bill, S. 1260, in a 68-32 vote last year. The House provision drawing ire from digital currency advocates was not in the Senate bill.

What if cartels and terrorist organizations start relying on BTC instead of the USD? That could be disastrous for our currency. Can you imagine the shame if the CIA started delivering cold wallets to help fund the next coup or insurrection? Embarrassing!
