Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency, and the Future of Global Finance

I'm going to spell it out for you one last time. Crypto has no value. You have to exchange it for real world currency. Currency has value because of the goods and services you can buy with it. The worker makes it valuable. There is no worker behind crypto.

I did question that when artists began accepting ethereum. That gave ethereum some value, In the end all they did was mass push computer generated monkey apes, because they were more influencers than artists. greed = game over .

What's truly astounding is the ones who brought it down with greed are the ones that preached against greed. Much like the Bernie Bros elected trump. Idiots rule for a reason.

What if cartels and terrorist organizations start relying on BTC instead of the USD? That could be disastrous for our currency. Can you imagine the shame if the CIA started delivering cold wallets to help fund the next coup or insurrection? Embarrassing!
Lol. The real play was buying $100 dollars worth in 2010. Would be worth over 4 billion today. At its highest a few months back was over 8 billion.

Nobody is bringing it down. These country governments love to announce a "ban" and set the sell algorithms off so they can buy more and ride it back up. They double their money.

read carefully, I know it's a lot of words. you heard right... steve bannon.

"Almost two centuries later, the same temptation appeared before Brock Pierce, a former child actor who’d played the younger version of Emilio Estevez’s character in the Mighty Ducks films. Now Pierce wears loud hats, vests, and bracelets, like Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean, and speaks in riddles, like Johnny Depp in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. After founding a successful brokerage for buying and selling video game items—at which he employed, of all people, future Trump consigliere Steve Bannon—Pierce was one of the few early Bitcoiners with real money to invest."

Anyone Seen Tether’s Billions?

I’m still trying to figure out the point of an NFT(Non-Fungible Token). From my point of view, it looks like it’s rich people throwing money at the next new thing or plain old money laundering.

Yep. It's called "do the opposite of what we say". Putin probably has a ton of BTC

The only thing more fun than passive income is watching psychotic individuals try to complete coherent sentences in the middle of a meltdown

The applications are actually pretty amazing. Say I'm a starving artist now and sell you a canvas painting for $500. I certify the painting with an NFT smart contract stipulating that if you sell it, I get 25% of the markup. So in 5 years when I become famous and you sell it for $1m, I get $250k.

My sister runs an art gallery and it's all moving to NFT's.

I create physical art as a side hustle but I've been reading up on NFTs. Seems like most of the money is in digital art which I don't really do. Not sure creating a high res image of a piece of physical art is ideal for a NFT

The NFT is what certifies the piece of physical art. Buying the painting without transferring the NFT would be like buying a car without transferring the title.
