Black jerseys to be auctioned (merged)

You are reaching. They want to "disrupt the traditional Western family". Take it what one will. It is just a repackaged phrasing of the African proverb that Obama used..."It takes a village to raise a child". We can debate the actual meaning of that all night long.
I am not reaching. I am reading the words and understand their meaning. “Disrupt” “requirement”. It’s pretty clear what they are saying. And side note...wasn’t the whole it takes a village a Hillary thing? I could be wrong on that

I must say as I come back to this, I am really saddened by what I see in here. There is no ability for people of good will to discuss matters rationally, even disagree, without one becoming a racist and a bigot. Do all of you not see, not understand? All of what is being orchestrated is designed to do this very thing, to tear us apart.

Here at Volnation, it is not that the color of your skin is black or white that matters, it is that your blood runs orange. Here in our nation, America, land of what I hope is still the free and the brave, there is no color that matters but red, white and blue and anyone who tries to segregate us, is the real enemy. We need to remember that as we speak to each other. We may have different solutions, but we all want our players (of ALL ethnic backgrounds) to make the very most of life. Consider that we should all think the same for our greater nation as well. Passionate feelings do matter and so do facts - both should be considered as we find our way forward.

They would divide us, who would rule us,
behind the empty lies of propaganda
that pits us against each other
so we do not notice their boot
stepping on our necks from above.

It’s kinda funny. We know a lot of gay people and they seem to do great for themselves, hell most of them are successful business owners. They have none of these oppressive issues. Same can be said for every black friend or acquaintance of mine. They do great. Even my youngest kids, whom are black, are treated wonderfully everywhere we go. Racism and bigotry aren’t the problem some people want everyone to believe that it is. There are problems in this country and those two excuses are the scapegoat to defend pos individuals.
My nephew is gay. He's happily married to another man and they both have successful careers. And they live in Texas. So yeah, I have a fear that some ignorant bigot will take offense to their lifestyle and do something to harm them. I remember when a young gay man was chained to the back of a truck and dragged to death. Hate is irrational. It causes people to act out in horrendous ways. It should not be underestimated.

You're not wrong on that.

You're not. Hillary wrote a book with the title.

It is an African proverb, hence why the BLM statement mentions "Western". You may be right about who used it first. They probably both have used it at one time or another.

I suppose it’s possible but it’s not the norm at least not nowadays. I think the act in itself is pretty disgusting but to each their own. Do what makes you happy and don’t worry about everyone else. I’ve seen videos of countless white people attacked by blacks in the past week but that’s never a narrative anyone wants to push. Anyway, if they live in Texas that’s a pretty easy state to carry a weapon and defend yourself.

I don't support the violence on either side. I think we have real problems, but no one seems to want to put in the hard work to find real solutions. You can't take shortcuts and expect lasting change.

“The most dangerous people in the world are not the tiny minority instigating evil acts, but those who do the acts for them. For example, when the British invaded India, many Indians accepted to work for the British to kill off Indians who resisted their occupation. So in other words, many Indians were hired to kill other Indians on behalf of the enemy for a paycheck. Today, we have mercenaries in Africa, corporate armies from the western world, and unemployed men throughout the Middle East killing their own people - and people of other nations - for a paycheck. To act without a conscience, but for a paycheck, makes anyone a dangerous animal. The devil would be powerless if he couldn't entice people to do his work. So as long as money continues to seduce the hungry, the hopeless, the broken, the greedy, and the needy, there will always be war between brothers.”

That would be Matthew Shepard, btw.

I agree and nor do I. I learned a long time ago people are gonna be who they are no matter what. I use to think the vast majority were reasonable, leveled headed people but now I’m not so sure. We are literally pandering to a mob of idiots.

Since UT now supports Black Lives Matter, now would be the perfect time to put Jeremy Banks (We shoot cops in Memphis) back on the football team.

The network televising UT games do pay attention to TV ratings.

If enough people don’t want to support Black Lives Matter and don’t buy Tickets or watch the games on TV, that presents a Huge problem for Woke UT.

Best believe they've already lost ticket sales and potential revenue. The leftists aren't going to buy any more them. They want freebies.

The Tennessee football players are weighing into politics because politics pervades everything. It is literally the practice of who gets how much of what when. And young black men in this world get very little in the way of power or voice. They are using their platform to advocate for a better world for all black people and that is a beautiful thing. I have never been prouder to be a fan of the Tennessee Volunteers Football Team. Thank you players!

For that matter, we may not even have football. We all gonna freak.

Mixing anecdotes; James Byrd was a black man dragged to death behind a truck by Klan-types, Matthew Shepard was a gay man robbed, beaten and left tied to a fence by his assailants and died days later.

Maybe. But the TV contracts matter way more then anything. Edit: well actually no they haven’t. Fulmer told us this week that over 90% of season tickets were renewed. So they are all good.

You are right, apologies for screwing that up.

We need to stop all support of University of Tennessee football. Someone please post email addresses of Pruitt, Fulmer and their bosses. We need to demand their resignation immediately for support of the racist Black Lives Matter liberals and for an attempt to provide monies to an organization that fights our police. With bricks being provided to be thrown through windows of businesses the phrase that was used by our last coach "brick by brick" has now taken on a new meaning by UT football and any supporters of it.

Someone post here the contact information we need to begin a fight against the liberal supporters of the racist organization Black Lives Matter. Pruitt, Fulmer and others need to resign!!
