Pitt will start three newcomers? I thought Pitt returned three starters from last years team? That was a decent team too. The ACC is top heavy. Not knocking Notre Dame I just think Dixon's boys will be pretty darn good. I don't follow Pitt as much as the Vols though so maybe they lost a couple of players. Also, didn't the kid from Vandy transfer there?

If I am not mistaken, Pitt lost a bit more. I think the top five scorers are all gone. In addition to their graduation losses (3), Steve Adams was an early entry in the draft and taken in the first round, and J J Moore transferred to Rutgers. Mostella did not get by the NCAA Clearinghouse in time and will not be available until at least 2nd semester, if then. Dixon is good, but I am unsure he can coach this Pitt team above middle-of-the-pack in the new ACC.

In addition, look for N C State to start returning lettermen T J Warren and Tyler Lewis, and then probably true frosh Anya and Barber and JC transfer Desmond Lee. Additionally, behind those five there isn't much.

Since everyone loves to talk UK in the UT section I'll join in.

kentucky will have the youngest team.but they will be very talented.

As usual. Hopefully WCS/Poythress can channel Lamb/Jones for some success.

I've met players randomly on campus and they're all excited for the year. Bunch of them look in great shape. WCS looks bigger and Poythress is ripped. Harrisons even taller than I imagined. All of them look like the summer has benefited them.

I'm sure Kentucky fans talk about UT, and I'd imagine the summer benefited everyone in terms of improvement.

I'll be honest, I don't know a single UK fan that talks consistently about UT. I admit there's probably plenty I don't know, but generally when I talk UT sports anywhere everybody is clueless.
