Now, Perlman is back in the football fray, apparently weighing what easily could become a $20 million-plus gamble when buyouts and contractual obligations for the current staff (Pelini alone would be owed a total of $8 million if fired) and contracts for a new staff are factored.
So, add it up: $20 million plus $5.8 million for previous buyouts.
That can't be right. Head coach gets $7.5 million. No way the assistants get that much.
This says the entire package is at most $20 million. And note the bold.
Nebraska is what Tennessee would be if they played in the Big 10. Make no mistake...they'd be a 4/5 win team if they played in the SEC.
Historical power, but in a state where it can be difficult to recruit in-state.
Kind of a deluded fanbase where they still think they are a national power and 8-4/9-3 type seasons year after year aren't good enough.
I'm unaware of UT having problems recruiting.
