Bo Pelini Would be a great hire IMO

More points than Sal gave up in any game and Nebraska plays "good defense"?

Nebraska fans will tell you they do NOT play "good defense".

Also I know a ton of Nebraska fans who would be willing to get rid of Pelini. He has absolutely worn out his welcome.
Bob DeVaney and Tom Osborne he ain't.

70 points with 9 mins left... against a 7-5 team.

OK, I take it back, I should have known that any coach that cannot properly wear a ball cap and puts a defense on the field that gives up 63 points has no business as HC at UT.

All coaches have a bad game now and then. I do get a kick out of those looking at 1 game and trying to make it look like the guy can't coach. He started the day 49-18 and he finished it 49-19. 1st in the Legends division. We could do alot worse than Bo Pelini.

He has never had a losing season at Nebraska. His teams have finished 1st or tied for 1st in their division 4 out of 5 seasons. He makes less than 3 million a year and they play good defense. He has coached in the SEC as a DC at LSU.

gee, Winsconsin disagrees

The guy to look at is Bielema. Unfortunately he'd probably never leave the Midwest, but those that have shot him down in the past I just don't see the knock on him. He doesn't bring in great classes but still manages to win. He was 10x more competive vs Oregon last year than we were in '10 and plays smash mouth SEC football. Lost his OC this year and they've still rolled offensively.

Let's just pretend Fulmer had lost an SECCG to an unranked 7-5 team 70-31.

Thoughts?

Other than the 70 points, that's the most staggering stat of the game. Two guys with over 200 yards rushing and a third with a 100.

Never seen that in my life. Gonna go out on a limb and say I will never see it again.

Please not Pelini. When he came outta LSU, yeah he seemed to have a great coaching future. Now as we all know, he hasn't really done anything. Not terrible, but nothing to write home about.

It appears that the Curse of Fulmer is extremely contagious. Last season, we were apparently looking hard at Kevin Steele for DC, and then WVU hung a basketball score on Clemson. Now this thread gets started, and Wisconsin looks like the greatest show on turf.

Moral of the story: If you want to suffer a humiliating and possibly record-breaking defeat, throw your name in the hat for a Tennessee coaching position.

Why is this guy still allegedly on Hart's radar?

Anyone know much about him? He seems to be doing a pretty solid job at Nebraska.

Would he come to UT just for a chance at a rematch with Bielema in the SEC Championship game?
