1st time ever heard Bob wasn't good. They played his call of Dee’s return for a touchdown to take the lead, and it sounded about as exciting as a funeral procession. In contrast, I just heard the Washington guy do the call for them taking the lead, and while granted it’s later in the game, there is just no comparison. I miss John.
Yea that was embarrassing and a disservice to DW. He spent half the play trying to figure out what yard line he caught the punt on. By the time it sounded like there might be something to get excited about, it was over. They played his call of Dee’s return for a touchdown to take the lead, and it sounded about as exciting as a funeral procession. “What a turn of events!”They played his call of Dee’s return for a touchdown to take the lead, and it sounded about as exciting as a funeral procession. I just listen to Bob and skip the analysis.A couple of reasons Bob is bad:
1) When a player catches a ball, he focuses first on the player’s name instead of what yard line the ball is on. Everyone who watches football cares about what yard line the ball is on first, and then after that’s confirmed, looks to see who made the play. Bob does the opposite, and because he’s way too quick with identifying the player with the ball, he often gets that wrong, and lists 2 or 3 names before letting us know if it’s a first down or what. It’s so annoying.
2) He has a real problem with saying “he gained a couple.” I’ve heard “a couple” mean one yard, two yards, and even six yards. It’s just awful you never really know where the ball is.
There’s more that drives me crazy about him, but that’s enough to get someone else in my book.
Folks have been complaining about him since Ward retired. What's the point? No offense, but with all the issues and shortcomings on the field and with this coaching staff, isn't there enough to witch about already? They played his call of Dee’s return for a touchdown to take the lead, and it sounded about as exciting as a funeral procession.
