Thank the Lord. Long overdue.

I‘d personally be surprised if Mike Keith would leave the Titans, so my top choice is Tom Hart from the SEC Network, ESPN, etc, IF he’d be willing to take the job. Tom knows Knoxville and Tennessee very well (although he’s a Mizzou grad) with him being the voice of the Tennessee Smokies for a couple of years and doing Vol games on occasion in recent years.

I doubt Mike Keith will leave the Titans, but now is the time to bolt. The Titans are absolutely trash and their ownership cares nothing about winning. They are a losing organization that makes money hand over fist whether they win or lose, just like the Pirates. Spend no money, run off their best players, just suck and always will. Mike has had a wonderful 25 years with the Titans.

Tennessee needs to hire him away and pay him whatever he wants...... It's time!!!!

I think Kesling was pretty good overall. I think just about anyone would appear to be a downgrade compared to Ward. The man was a legend and that's tough to follow.
Think to be in the legend in radio first, you've got to have the voice/delivery, and second, you have to be a great story teller... all the great one's have it...John Ward, Vin Scully, etc. Think Kesling got better over the years, but lacks especially in compelling story telling (or painting a picture, as someone else mentioned) during the game. I appreciate his years of service to Vol Nation though.

And being at one place for so long, could always lead to the organization letting him. walk when his contract is up and being replaced with a cheaper and younger announcer.

He had the unenviable task of following John Ward.
And dropped the meat in the dirt for 25 years.
