John Ward was old school. There won’t be another like him. Times have changed and broadcasters with it. I fondly remember listening to John Ward on the radio, and when the Vols were on TV, I’d turn down the sound and listen to John call the games.

I think Kesling was pretty good overall. I think just about anyone would appear to be a downgrade compared to Ward. The man was a legend and that's tough to follow.
