I was shocked to see him resign today. I figured he would at the end of the season. As someone said earlier, it's a good way to let his son have a try, failure or not. Sad day for College Basketball.

BoB Knight is finally throwing in the towel. Anyone think he will return somewhere else????

I could be dead wrong, but I think he will be back in coaching somewhere else within 18 months. He stepped down because he wanted to pass the program to his son. This is a good time to do it, because Texas Tech isn't going anywhere right now, and if Pat were to even get them to the NIT, he's off to a great start. If they blow up, he gets a free pass.

Knight has only kept on coaching because he wanted the all-time wins record. He's got it, but he isn't going to keep it but about 3 1/2 years at the rate Coach K is going. There's no way he's going to let one of his own pupils take that record while he's alive.

Watch Knight resurface at some mid-major before long, like Lefty Driesell did in the twilight of his career.

Knight's done. He won't be back anywhere. The only way to find Knight is in Montana fishing and hunting.

Somewhere there is a chair on a basketball court crying for joy. Coach Knight is a legend and will be missed on the court. It is a truly sad day, but Coach Knight honestly could give 4 rats asses less about what anyone thought of him. Hey Coach, go catch some smallmouth and have a beer, YOU FREAKING DESERVE IT!! You're the best men's coach I have ever seen on the sidelines on a college BB game in my lifetime.

Another reason why it is right to hate Tech. EFF U Tech fans! Im not naive enough to say that is the sole reason why Bobby left, but it played its part( regardless of how small a part it was). This a truly sad day for the confrence, the NCAA, and basketball in general. I will miss him.

and P.S.

I now have two tickets for teh aTm Tech game in College Station for sale. Anyone?

:lolabove: And a few censors at ESPN and Fox Sports are probably picking up their pink slips today as well.

Love him or hate him, one of the best minds in the history of college basketball decided to hang it up yesterday. Have fun, Coach. :good!:

Knight just said in his interview"never say never" in regards to coaching again and he's always gone by that. I wish him all the best and hope he can enjoy some R&R.

Enough of this tired interview, let's see some UT/UF highlights and scoreboard.

wow. Just wow. I'm not a Tennessee basketball fan (thanks Wade), but I hope the Vols blow Memphis out of the water after reading that drivel.

I still believe you'll only find Knight in a hunting stand or on a lake somewhere in Montana or Idaho, if you find him at all.
There's a scary thought. You're walking through the woods and what do you see up in the tree? Well it's Bobby Knight and rifle.
