Milton can’t run the offense, Hooker was even better than what we gave him credit for, Hyatt no longer here, etc

We’ve been speculating what’s been up with the Tennessee offense all year, but one thing that’s a fact is our new OC Joey Halzle. I think Petrino could have success here running Huepels system and helping with the game prep. He could be looking for a new job assuming whoever the new A&M coach is wants to bring in their own guys

A loss, a particularly bad one, brings out a stunning amount of entertainment in the week or so following.

Offense has looked a lot different from the first two years. The play calling is atrocious at times whereas it wasn’t the first two years. It’s not like Halzle has a proven record of being a mastermind. Why not upgrade when you have the chance

Oh I don’t disagree with the first part of the statement, it’s just Petrino? An upgrade?

That’s where you lose me entirely.

His teams always put up a lot of points. Go look at his last 3 years at Missouri St and the schools prior to that. They consistently score a lot

Jimbo was known for being hell bent on running his style of offense until he was finally forced to make a change by hiring Petrino, but I’d like to think their offensive issues this year were more due to Jimbos influence than Bobby

“He could be looking for a new job”

You are actually right about that. He is always looking for a new job. Otherwise, naw fam.

You sure about that? I knew he called them for the Orange Bowl, but pretty sure he said Halzle calling the plays has allowed him to focus on managing the entire game
Yes, Halzle, called the script. Heupel called a lot of plays too. Play calling is overrated by casual fans. Great offenses actually rely on about 8-10 different plays.
