Bobby Petrino for OC?

How about we get a QB that can make a decision with the ball in his hands and then we'll decide on an OC.
What a contrast from just last year when the VOLS would come out and run the hurry up, no huddle back to back to back plays and have defenses reeling.....to this year when Milton is looking over at the sidelines waiting for the play....you know it's going to be a run up the middle or a dump pass to the sidelines= our only 2 plays. Yes, we were spoiled last year. Hard to adjust.

Milton can’t run the offense, Hooker was even better than what we gave him credit for, Hyatt no longer here, etc

We’ve been speculating what’s been up with the Tennessee offense all year, but one thing that’s a fact is our new OC Joey Halzle. I think Petrino could have success here running Huepels system and helping with the game prep. He could be looking for a new job assuming whoever the new A&M coach is wants to bring in their own guys
Dear lord, NOOOOO

Who ever is the coordinator we must not stop going up the middle on first down...It is our signature play.
We do it on 1st down, and every attempt at 4th and short. Must be a state law passed not allowing any other play but up the middle.

Heupel does not turn over his system to anyone to call the plays. An experienced OC is not going to be on Heupel's staff.

Heupel is essentially the oc. We all knew that before Joey halzle even commented on the process (recently). Heupel is on the headset with the offensive staff all game and they’re communicating what they’re seeing out of the defense on various sets from overhead. Halzle will make suggestions and heupel lets him know if he’s good with it. Halzle said on impactful play calls Heupel handles it himself.
Heupel had an amazing long term track record as an offensive coach. We don’t need a new OC. Heupel needed to recognize with most fans we’re able to see in Milton. He’s so much like JG. He’s a great kid with good size and a strong arm. Unfortunately he just doesn’t have the moxie to be a dynamic qb. It comes down to accuracy and decision making.
many of us said Milton would be fine in lower level games where he isn’t under pressure and just really has to be a game manager. But against the best teams your qb has to be able to out the team on their back and make some damn plays themselves. And Milton isn’t able to do that. This season was always going to play out this way. I thought 8-4. I wasn’t sure if our 2 extra losses would come to UF, Mizzou, UK, or A&M. I but at the end of the year it’s going to be 8-4.
Not terrible. But it didn’t have to be this way either. The good news is I’d be shocked if Nico doesn’t prove to be a dynamic playmaker as virtually every other qb Heupel has mentored for 2 years plus has become.

And for the record, the VollyVols are 21-3. They play LSU on Friday, Nov. 17th.
