Maybe that's not what happened, but there is no possible way she was on a bike with Petrino at the time he wrecked and doesn't have a scratch on her. It's just not possible. Something else happened here.

Been ridin a long time and the same can be said everytime u get behind the wheel. U just have to be ever vigilant. to me it's all worth it

I agree but percentages we survive automobile accidents is much greater. I do not want to risk seeing my little girl grow up. I will buy another bike when she is old enough to leave the home. By then I will probably be into cruisers as I will be above 50. I sold my 3 bikes but at that age I won't want to lean over as much. I wish safe rides to all bikers.

I said the same thing before. This just doesn't add up. Even if she was wearing a helmet, she would probably have had some injuries considering that he broke ribs and a vertebrae.

Update to the rumor: The story originated from an Arkansas caller to another show and got picked up by the radio show hosts in Jax. When I first posted it, I was quoting someone else who was listening. I heard it myself for the first time a few hours later, and they said the rumor is that the fiancé chased them down (she was on the bike). He then inflicted the damage.

Again, I'm just posting what's being aired down here. I remain skeptical, because I don't see what Petrino would be gaining at this point by going with the motorcycle accident story. He looks bad either way, so why cover for the person who assaulted him (if true)?

During the same Jax radio segment, they said they heard 'someone who knows motorcycles' say that, with this type of bike, the driver will receive the brunt of the punishment in the event of an accident. Perhaps that explains a bit how Dorrell was so lucky.

I find the reported story to be more credible than the rumor, but I find this interesting enough to post.

Unless the guy dragged Bobby's face down the highway his injuries weren't sustained in a fight.

State Trooper says Petrino told him he crashed due to a gust of wind.

Have any motorcyclists here ever crashed because of the wind?

I just don't think a coach eff's up for the first time and just happens to have a wreck with a coed and calls a police officer to protect him.

I call it common sense, more than rumor.
