Arkansas fans are in mourning
Bobby Petrino passenger Jessica Dorrell 'in safe mode,' friend says - ESPN
Check the vid. Love the first guy lol:
Let's say theoretically that two people - not wearing helmets - were on a motorcycle that crashed at 40 mph... one passenger has broken vertibrate, with a face that looks like a lobster right out of a boil.... and the other passenger walks away. Can someone explain how that happens? TIA

If your wreck is a "high side" wrect where the passengers are pitched off of the bike, it is conceivable that the passenger, who rides straddling the back of the driver, is pitched onto the driver of the motorcycle, which could take most of the force out of the landing.
It does depend on the speed, etc... People live through 3-story falls. People break their necks tripping over their cats. It's a weird thing for sure.
