He was at Oregon for 1 year before leaving for Florida State.

Oh, the quote you quoted specifically referenced a G5 school which Kiffin is at. P5 to P5 is more common.

Now it is interesting you would bring up Taggart moving on to FSU after 1 year as proof that he is a good coach considering Kiffin did the same thing.

Taggart was at USF for 4 years?

I can’t seem to think of any coaches that had one good year at a G5 and jumped to a major job, which you said was normal if you’re a good coach.

You also can't think of any G5 coaches who are former NFL coaches, multiple time power 5 HC and power 5 coordinators. The normal path is pretty much out the window.

Way to deflect. I assume you’re a grown man but the fact that you are butthurt over another grown man regarding a sport (so nothing serious or life threatening) is sad and hysterical.

It is pretty pathetic...

True, but a good coach is a good coach.

It’s just not normal at all for a G5 coach to jump to a P5 job after 1 year. To try and use that as evidence someone isn’t a good coach is off base.

I agree with you. But people aren't necessarily running down Kiffin. They're reacting to this gooberish obsession some have with Kiffin as some sort of savior .

Yeah, as usual, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

Not a savior but the best coach we could have landed, but chose not to because of foolish pride.

Nope. Host on Sports 180 said his insiders told him that Kiffin was wanting us to offer so he could turn us down in a very public manner.

Yet another national host said Lane would take the job in a New York minute in Clay Travis. You’re insane if you think Lane would stay at FAU over Tennessee.

Yes, and Clay Travis also wanted Bobby Petrino and had said for 2 weeks that Gruden was coming. Travis is as credible as a ham sandwich.
