It certainly doesn't help it. But, to your point, what exactly was Boehner's argument here? Yes, Obama has not been the best at job creation, and I will be the first to admit that (although I think the 2007-2008 recession, as well as the Euro crisis has hampered him) but I think to say that he has not created a single job is also unfair. What was Boehner's point? Democrats, especially Obama, are stupid, and Republicans can fix everything?

I don't know exactly what you're getting at, so I hope I'm not misinterpreting your post. But, if I think I'm interpreting it correctly, then what exactly is a real job? Furthermore, even if Boehner has held more real jobs than Obama, does this wipe away the fact that Boehner essentially states that serving in Congress is not a real job? Also, what does a real job have to do with knowing how the economy functions? There are plenty of people who work real jobs that know absolutely nothing about the economy. Some of our most innovative thinkers never served what we today would think of as real jobs, oftentimes because they came from a relatively privileged class (not necessarily wealthy) that had the leisure to dedicate copious amounts of time to study and thinking, instead of grindstone. I'm not suggesting Obama comes from such a class, but I am suggesting that Boehner's comments are without basis.

I guess in the end you have to question what voter out there is going to now vote for Romney based on Boehner's critique. Going to go out on a limb and say zero.

Seems more designed to excite the base.

Someone who doesn't spend their whole life working on the public dime, working for a real private sector company and being paid a wage by said company.

This is why Obama has no ****ing clue how the world or the economy works. Guy is in way over his head when it comes to job policies.

all the bull**** diahrea that comes out of Obama's mouth, the opposing side needs to come out and start calling his ass to the carpet. I'm tired of watching politicians who think they need to attempt to get along with the left-wingers. The leftie's will stab you in the back in a heart beat as soon as it is politically feasible.

Romney has been fairly conservative so far. There is plenty of ammunition that he could use to take it to a whole new level of nasty. I think the media holds him back. I mean attack their messiah and they get real nasty with you. I've never seen the media protect a president like they have him.

look at GW. He was all into that mushy mushy "reach across the aisle" thing and look what it got him. Absolutely nothing.

Despite what a lot of the pundits say, you don't get voted into office to be partisan. If I wanted you to pass the other's sides ideas, I would've voted for them. Get in office and do what you were elected to do and let the other side b!tch and moan. **** 'em.

They did a good job of protecting Clinton. That being said, Obama makes Clinton look like Reagan.

Yeah they did , but not at this level. If it were Bush or anyone else, they'd be saying how terrible a leader he is, how the economy is stale, gas and food are sky high. Funny you hear nothing about any of that. It's as if everything is just fine, kind of like Obama said about the private sector.

That's why this approach is smart for now. Use surrogates to launch the sharp attacks and let Romney appear above the fray. That's certainly what Obama does for the most part.

But real soon, Mitt needs to take the gloves off and go hard.

If he wants to win he needs too. Although these polls have to be very biased. I refuse to believe there are that many misinformed and totally ignorant people out there. I could be wrong though. "Forward" off a cliff seems to be popular.
