BOISE, Idaho -- Dealing with missing two field goals in Boise State's loss to Nevada is difficult enough. Now Boise State kicker Kyle Brotzman is having to endure an endless stream of taunts and barbs on social networking sites.

The senior kicker and leading scorer in school history missed a game-winner from 26 yards with 2 seconds left in regulation then minutes later misfired again from 29 yards out in overtime in the Broncos' 34-31 loss Friday against Nevada.

That's really sad that people could be so cruel. Kid's a great kicker and will always have mixed feelings about his Alma mater now because of a few POS's.

That's awful. The kid would have loved to made those field goals, he feels bad enough on his own without this ridiculous stuff.

couldn't kick the damn ball 2 feet less known to kick a game winning FG!! what a bunch of D'bags!!

Note to Boise St. fans. Your school is in Idaho and your team plays on a blue field. I hope you enjoyed feeling relevant for a whole year. Leave your kicker alone.

Exactly. There are very few people on earth who despise kickers as much as myself, and I think this is beyond classless.

Death threats are a little harsh. I could understand breaking his leg, though.

Place Kicking is the worst job in sports! Kid did not miss those kicks on purpose and did the best he could. I would rather my kid be a punter! He will never live this down, and that is sad!

Can you make a 5 foot putt for the US Open? Pressure is huge! Pressure makes fools out of ALL of us at one time or another!

Not surprising, some people are classless. Anyone who would send death threats to a college athelete needs to seriously re-examine their life.
