Boise / UGA

Nope 1st down; smart move taking a long time in the huddle but then quick snapping it as soon as they got to the line, before UGA could get too set

If Brent Pease had called games like this when he was at Baylor we wouldn't have stunk for as long as we have. UGa doesn't have a clue what the Spuds are going to do.

Nice pressure by UGA on 3rd down, however Boise was able to milk the clock from 10 minutes to about 5

pressure forces a slightly high throw by Murray on 4th and 1 turnover on downs

likely ends any little chance of a comeback UGA might have had

Murray is a solid QB, but he is not this special player the media wants him to be.

it almost looked like it took UGA a half to shake off all the offseason rust and get used to playing again (not sure if that's the best way to word the messy way many teams play the first week)....if they played the first half like they did the second, this might have been a different game (also makes me curious what we all will see out of them on offense this season; ...that defense however, needs quite some work)

Giving up 2 sacks in the last 4 plays is just pathetic. Their o-line played like crap, and then flat out quit.

Alright, any idiots out there still think Boise doesn't belong in the NC if they go undefeated? (assuming only one BCS school is undefeated)

Remember him saying several times he's not leaving boise; he wants to build that program into something much, much more than it was when he got there

That's correct. I think he's out to show that he can win a National Championship at Boise State. He already said if they go undefeated this year he's going to be on every show saying that they deserve it.

I knew Boise would handle this and not have that hard of a time. Uga is always over hyped every single year.

Its just idiotic to think Boise can't play with anyone, the argument against them is not that they don't belong in big games, its that its week 1 and we pretty much know they are going undefeated. How does that = LSU/Alabama going 11-1 in the SEC?

Aside from Notre Dame, Georgia and Texas are consistently the two most over-rated teams in college football. Sure, Texas won last night, but none of those three teams deserved a top-25 ranking.

...Ok, wait. I know they went 5-7 last year, but Texas has spent the last 8 seasons before it going 11-2, 10-3, 11-1, 13-0, 10-3, 10-3, 12-1, and 13-1. Please explain how that makes them the most consistently over-rated in the rankings?

And their being ranked this year at least has a precedent; the polls did the same thing with Tennessee after their 5-6 2005 season. The polls treat it as a "you've had so many really good seasons [in a row] before that bad one that we're willing to treat the last one as a one-time hiccup...for now." Same thing happened here.

And if they do what we've done or worse in the 3-4 years following, then yeah, they're more than likely going to end up in the same position rankings-wise

A better question.

What idiot in his right mind thinks that just cause Boise beat a middle if the road SEC team that they deserve to play in the title game?
