i had no idea Arcade Fire is big enough to headline at bonnaroo. look for them to do a mainstage opener for a late night MMJ.

i haven't been the last two years. i'm ready to go back.
They just won the Grammy for Album of the Year.

The best thing about Arcade Fire winning the Grammy wasn't the fact that I kind of felt like "holy ****, a band I'm a big fan of actually won a Grammy", it was Eminem fans getting so irate over it.

No problem with them headlining. Couple solid records, and have been at the top of the bill at just about every festival in the world last few years.

not sure how Em and Wayne will translate to these huge outdoor venues. THey will probably have full bands, but it's not like they are the Beastie Boys.

Please pretty please tell me you are making a joke.

3 years ago they had Metallica and Pearl Jam, two legendary bands who have been around for the past 2 decades, so compared to that, it's pretty easy to be underwhelmed by this year's lineup. No chance in hell it's worth $250 IMO.

I have two girls that want to go. Looks like I'll be working a lot of overtime in the coming weeks.

It's a shocker that they would actually want some headliners that are still relevant this year.

Mumford and Sons, Ryan Bingham, Old Crow Medicine Show, Iron and Wine, Alison Krauss, and Deer Tick is a hell of a show.

Lotsa craziness at Bonnaroo. Manchester TN is like 30 mins from my house and I'd love to see The Strokes.

I dated a girl from Manchester, and it was pretty neat getting to see all of the crazies showing up. They hang out hardcore in front of walmart a week before the event.+

I'd add a few more onto that list: Justine Townes Earle, Ray Lamontague, Del McCoury with Prez Hall, MMJ, Dr. John, STS9, Bela Fleck, Hayes Carll.

The talent is definitely there but I don't know how it will all be divided up, having never been before. Are stages broken up by similar genre or anything like that?

FYI -- Jay-Z brought the goods last year. Brought down the house (er...farm).

Metallica. Nice choice. They're not laughing with you...they're laughing at you.
