I have to disagree. He had some very talented players recruited. His issue was he wasn’t a very good coach so their development was left lacking. Plus his game management was terrible.Assuming this class sticks, how long has it been since we have had this quality of a recruiting class?
Butch Jones’ recruiting classes were mostly fools gold.
He also mentioned how fans represented in that game at LSU last season. He was actually on a trip to LSU when our team put an absolute beat down on them and our fans took over their stadium. Greatest fans on earth.Nice to hear he mentioned the double-digit winning season as a reason. Another double-digit season and recruiting will get insane.
Agreed but didn't we also have a fairly significant number of injuries those years and a pretty high number of transfers for that first highly rated class? Glad we have a coaching staff that knows what they're doing now.I have to disagree. He had some very talented players recruited. We're on our way to becoming a brand that everyone will understand as, "He was good enough to have played for Tennessee..."This is one you won't ever have to worry about academic or discipline issues. And its a testament to the fact that good kids want to be surrounded by good people. This is a good kid. Thrilled to have him.
Are you talking about the "Stepping on a Helmet" kind of injuries? I believe he was not building Brick by Brick , but just throwing them and seeing who he could hit.Agreed but didn't we also have a fairly significant number of injuries those years and a pretty high number of transfers for that first highly rated class?
