Bama said what? We put up points on south carolina. Wasn't the offenses fault. You's stupid and a troll bag.[/QUOTE

Troll…right. If you looked at my history here you would see I am absolutely no troll.

Sure, all games count, but when it was time to step up and beat SC for a playoff spot, they clearly did not. That was the point I was making.

As long as Stoops is still involved deeply with OU there’s no chance Heupel would go there.
I really don't see him leaving Tennessee for OU. He only spent two years there. Mike Leach was his guy. Stoops relationship is well documented. If he is successful here and leaves to take a break from the stress of coaching after winning eight or so titles, I could see him there in about 15-20 years. I would not bet on it being at Tennessee's expense.

Didn't they just pay Deshaun Watson like a billion dollars to play there? To be blunt, he has never struck me as the brightest of fellas-even before his rub and tug fixation became public. Not really sure a system requiring instantaneous decisions would really fit his skill set. Pretty Browns of them though to pay a guy a bunch of money but them run a system that doesn't capitalize on his abilities.
Watson seems to suffer this season because he may not be getting the normal massages in Cleveland.

Waitaminnit!...I had a damned bonafide, turgid, hot coal hate worked up for Esiason and had every kid in the 'hood yelling "BOOOOOOOmer".
Now you're telling me you fingered the wrong guy?

You better come up with something incriminating on Esiason pronto, buddy...
I got kiddie street cred at stake here.

Hooker is a very good qb. He had an off game on the road at Ga. He missed on several throws he usually connects on and the receivers were open

Not taking a shot at you, but that's an understatement. Hooker would likely have passed Manning in every category if he had the same time in the program.
We are going to miss Hooker.

Hooker had an off game bc the line got manhandled. Pocket was collapsing in the middle; he wasn’t able to step into his throws pretty much all that game. Kirby had a very good plan and they had the talent to execute it.

I'm not so sure about that. I believe I've seen a few teams try it off and on, KC for one. And I might be mistaken, but I think Peyton ran something like it with the Broncos, but it was probably closer to the Leach air raid.
The closest thing in the NFL to the Vol offense was way back in the late 80's and early 90's - Houston Oiler's run & shoot. They were perennial playoff contenders with it. It did wear down Houston's defense, which resulted in defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan punching out offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride during a game. I lived in Houston at the time and the Astrodome was rocking with that exciting offense.

I think he was saying our offense wouldn't work in the NFL, which, it wouldn't. That's why I'm not very worried about Heupel leaving for the NFL at any point. It'll be Oklahoma that gets him, if anyone.
You never know some said it wouldn't work in the sec either

Just ahead of that they were talking about the Browns retaining their coach but that owner wants them to run the air raid that he watched all year at UT as a huge booster.
Go get Art Briles to be the offensive coordinator. If anyone gets a chance watch some old RG3 games at Baylor and tell me what it looks like.

There's nothing special about stacking receivers, lots of teams do that, what's special about our offense is the speed, it forces mistakes. We've seen what happens when we play a disciplined defense with NFL talent against the Dwags the last two years though, it slows it considerably. The same thing would happen in the NFL. Again, this is good news, it makes him unlikely to leave for an NFL gig.
What makes are offense special is the receivers out in the splits and running air raid and RPO together and sneaking in the fact we run it as much as we throw it.

In the Air raid it was all pass. It has alot of what Briles used at Baylor with RG3
