I hate that for your son. My son played ball in high school and messed his knee and back up pretty good (two different occasions). Long story has sailed. His body knows how long it needs, if you have doubt and want to settle your parent mind, get the doctor to refer him to a good orthopedic doctor.My son got a stage 1 hamstring tear doing squats he is a freshman going into Sophomore year and had a max of 325lbs squat they make them come in at 7 am during the week so we get up at 5am and I fix him breakfast and he has time to digest. Then on leg day that is every two days have to start cold with 75% of there max he is the strongest freshman. I think this is stupid well he is now hurt and it's been 5 weeks and he is still hurt.
