No kidding. Watching FSU gives me some incredibly strong football fan PTSD. The volume of offseason hype, a quarterback who's hyped for talent but seems to struggle far too much and lock on too often, defense getting gashed by the same plays, 12 men on the field to stop a TD run, and emotional highs that burn out fast and flood with apathy ... man. You never really "recover" from BVS, you just medicate yourself enough to get back to the good times.

Sweet baby Jesus, please let us be back in the good times. I can't go back to the years like the one FSU's starting with right now. We did that for fifteen years. Spare us over. Let us be good for good long while.

I still have nightmares about some of those defenses. This might have been my lowest point as a Volunteer. I still remember exactly where I was, who I was with, and the nauseating feeling in my gut.
