Bowers Having Surgery

He’s practiced all week and will get 5-15 snaps this weekend against Ole Miss to be full go against UT.
That would be great so long as it’s safe. Seems like I read that Kirby stated that Bowers status would not put him at risk for further damage or prolonging recovery if he sees action.

In any event, I think he should at least dress and if the opportunity arises he should be put in late in the game to give our fans a chance to show love and appreciation. It’s his last game at Sanford

Is it really? Dang. I agree with you, give him a chance to be on the field one last time.

Hope he can pull that off. We went through the same injury with Cedric Tillman last year and he made it back to full speed in about 5 weeks.

That’s my feelings also. Even if it’s just in victory formation or the like. IMO he deserves a standing ovation the final time he steps off the field at Sanford Stadium. Of course it depends on how the game is going. Ole Miss might not allow that happen.

Technically he could come back next season, but I absolutely don’t think he should or will. I can’t recall seeing an underclassman being as ready as he is for the NFL. I will be shocked if he doesn’t make a big impact as a rookie, barring injury.

He's special. Those don't come around all that often. I hope you're able to enjoy him for years to come like we do Peyton, Al Wilson, et al.

*** Brock Bowers has been a huge topic of conversation this week and rightfully so. I’m told that he did more and more as the week went on. I spoke with a source Thursday night who told me he caught three touchdowns in 11-on-11 work on Tuesday and Wednesday combined with one being in the red zone. I was also told that his best practice of the week was probably Thursday where he was moving really well.

Forecast says rain in Knoxville for the UGA vs UT game. Not sure he plays on a slick field. However if he does I hope both teams avoid injuries.

yeah no need to be low class like their past OL Kublanow.
Never root for young men to be injured. That's only bad juju. Hard fought game no significant injuries. I wanna win, injuries do happen in sports however to take cheap shots or playing to injure has no place in the game. Just go compete have fun and play ball.

It would be shocking if he returns. Top ten pick and most likely a starter during his rookie year.
