"Mysterious ways" is an inherently lazy line of logic.
I can understand some aspects of faith, but to blanket victims of atrocities a byproduct of an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient celestial deity's enigmatic existence is absurd.
What part of "freedom to make our own choices" don't you understand? Most of the victims of atrocities (besides for disease) are the direct result of the existence of evil in the world. Yes, I totally agree it would be great if these things wouldn't happen and there would be no evil in the world
