I'll say that paying the players would likely turn out terribly, but I think it's hilarious some people think that a scholarship makes up for all the money college football players bring to major universities.

As opposed the the current system that is void of corruption?

Weak argument.

QUOTE=CountVolcula;4866504]They get compensated. Its called a free college education

Do you want college to turn out to be like the NFL?

Agents, more money, higher ticket prices, lockouts

You would have to be a complete fool to want to do that to CFB

If they dont like a free education, then they can make the grades and pay for it themselves[/QUOTE]

Thank you. It's mostly cops and others who drain the economy that think that way.

Practice facilities, equipment, stadiums, fields, coaches salaries, etc..

The money doesnt go directly to them, but it goes to support them while they are here.

If they think the University is making too much, then they dont have to play football.

It's not just the university making money off of them Ace. It's the bowls, the corporations and tv.

Makes a lot of sense that some military families are living at just above or right at the poverty level, but we can pay a guy millions to run or throw a ball up and down a field, bounce a ball up and down a court, or swing a bat and throw a ball.

Yep! Makes perfect sense

Nothing says fair treatment like a 33K birthday party in Vegas and paying for four private golf club memberships.

Or a University President taking a free Caribbean cruise.

But hey kids, don't worry we will make millions while you get an education, crappy food and seedy college apartments.

Thats if I have time between all the coffee and donut breaks, planting dope on innocent people, and harassing the general public

Don't worry, my dad is a criminal defense lawyer. I know all about the lying cops do on the stand and police reports.

Yeah, it's all equal.

If they think the University is making too much, then they dont have to play football.
No, they can just take money from boosters.
