Yeah not leaving much margin for error
I think it's hard to find 3 losses on the schedule. The 1st SEC game is key and might be the toughest. I could see us running off 8 or 9 straight before we hit the toughest parts of the schedule. We are the Vols so I guess it's possible we lose the 1st one, I just can't see Mizz having enough offense to beat us.

We will lose games that we’re favored in.

Y'all are crazy if you think this team is only losing one game this year. We have yet to start conference play, which will be extra hard with a target on our backs, and we still have to face Kansas. I'm as optimistic as any, but this team is going to take their lumps at some point this year. We're still pretty young.

Probably good for them if they a couple of January lumps. I just don't want to lose to Cuonzo, Florida, or Vandy! Also really need the Kansas win for seeding. Maybe an Arkansas or South Carolina loss would be tolerable.

I know the SEC probably sucks this year, more than any recent year, but the bravado of some posters about our basketball team is crazy. We may end up being a really great team that only loses a few games. I'm not discounting the idea as a future possibility, but expecting that after 6 games is merely blissful hope.

Every team has a bad stretch, however that is defined for each particular team. There will be some losses, most assuredly, but Tennessee will get better from them.

Tennessee is unquestionably talented. Probably the most talent in the SEC, probably, season is still young. But I agree, expecting this team to go undefeated or one loss is really, really optimistic. Sure, it's possible, especially with this season, but this is college basketball, the most talented team only wins about 80% of the time. So to me, winning 8 out of every 10 games is a pretty good result, and one that puts us in the tournament. Perform better than that, you're looking at a great team.

Agreed, nothing better to help growth than taking some hard fought L’s against some good teams like Arkansas or Kansas along the way. I feel like Gonzagas of past years struggle with going from WCC competition to NCAA tournament teams.

We will lose a couple games. Playing a team with a decent defense will make us sweat as our offensive production still isnt where it needs to be. Our defense thankfully is where we need it.

Kentucky and LSU both have plenty of talent. I'd like to beat them and Auburn for sure. Always Vandy too. Even loaded teams rarely run the table in conference. There's just too much that can happen during a basketball game and season to expect that. I'd like to hit the NCAAs with less than 6 losses and get a top 3 seed. It would also be pretty nice to finally shed the SECT monkey.
