Bray to go to NFL per CBS/Bruce Feldman

Again, lots of truth in here. If these people think there weren't numerous times that Kelly's D didn't play up to par yet he found a way to win they are too young to remember.

Andy Kelly didn't hand the ball off to Tauren Poole and Rajon Neal either. We were a physical offense with elite running backs during the Kelly, Shuler, Manning, Martin, and Clausen eras. The only QB's on that list that had the physical tools Bray has were Shuler and Mannng. They were also coached by coaches that expected them to win. Bray's coach admittedly didn't look at the scoreboard but the "process".

He broke some of Peytons records so that means he is the same quality of talent as Peyton?.....excuse me while I laugh hysterically at such comical stupidity..:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:wait..wait..:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:Oh crap my ribs hurt:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

It will be a long time until we get someone to compare to Peyton. We need to stop using that bar to measure our QB's. It is a bit comical. I can't imagine the numbers Peyton would put up if put in the shotgun against Troy to air it out for an entire game.

I'm not a Bray hater, but this is the single dumbest post I've ever read. Congratulations, sir.
How is his post dumb? Bray nor the offense lost us any games. Our offense put up enough points to win any of the games we had any chance of winning.

Put it like this, if you changed nothing whatsoever about what the offense did every year and the defense holds teams to 20 points Bray would have been a Heisman Finalist. That sir is a fact.

I don't like Bray as a QB. I don't think he is a scrub I just don't like the way he plays and his demeanor. how ever I would definitely love to see him come back because we do not have a single proven QB on the roster. Also I would like to see if different coaching brings different results with the kid. We had a QB in a similar situation when Kiffin got here and that turned out fairly well and Bray has a lot more raw talent and better resume than he did.

Bye Tyler bray he will be wishing he had his degree in a few years all I'm saying

Only having one good Wr that yr certainly limits a qb. I'm sure that you'll say that shouldn't phase him though. I'm sure his hurt thumb had nothing to do with his playing as well.

He had Michael Rivera, Zach Rogers, and a good freshmen in Arnett to go along with Da'Rick. Do you honestly expect me to believe that against Kentucky that he could not muster a better game than what he did? He played better the week before but somehow it magically got worse a week later. Hyams reported players said Bray was heard saying he didn't want to go to bowl game, but that thumb made it to where he could not hit the broad side of the barn. Dooley said at half on tv that his qb was late on every read. Is that a thumb issue or a mental issue? He seemed fine when he threw a bomb near the end to get us back in it.

Players have bad games. Coaches have to make adjustments. They can see what we see.

Against a bad Vanderbilt team he had a bad game. Against a terrible Kentucky team he had an even worse game. He did not want to be there. You know people are judged on their past performances. For example, if Mccarron has a bad game you say oh well just once in a blue moon he can have a bad outing. He's tough and he always says the right things after a game. You base your evaluation of his performance on his past and that he is known for winning. Brays past leads us to believe that against good competition he wilts and from time to time he checks out. Sometimes for a quarter (florida) and others an entire game (Kentucky). Why do we believe that he just had a bad game? What leads us to believe that to be true. His bad game was Vanderbilt. He should have followed that up with a better game against Kentucky. Also, he had the 28th ranked defense that year so don't blame defense.

He was a true sophomore on a team with no leadership from the players or the coaching staff. Derek Dooley had to be able to see Bray was not where he was pre-injury and make adjustments but instead he didn't and made the ridiculous statement that it may be better that the team lost.

First, learn how to use the website properly when posting. Second, read my post and I answer why I react the way I react when he has "a bad game." I don't care if he was a sophomore, it was Kentucky. They beat us with a Jacob Carter type kid at quarterback. Yes I mean a kid who was a wr except for the week of the game and a kid that was willing to play with heart. Have we back slid that far that we make excuses that our nfl ready qb could not beat Kentucky? Look we were better than them and we lost. Bray had back to back weeks where he looked terrible. He looked better against a better Vanderbilt team.

Didn't have to his sophomore year. We were a good defensive team. Just keep spitting out excuses.

Was Tyler playing defense when he basically did not show up for the KY game in 2011 or the Andy game in 2012 ?

Who would want a qb that states he does not want to go to a crap bowl game and loses to a KY team so he does not have to practice for a lower tier bowl ?

I for one am glad he is leaving. He has no future in the NFL with his shatty attitude.

Dang.

About the only enjoyment I got from watching the Vols over the last three years was when Tyler was on the field.

Thanks for the memories.

Yeah it was great to watch him throw them picks late in the games that we had a chance to win.

I would take NFL coaching and a fat paycheck over an unstable program, unproven coaches, new scheme, and no returning receivers any day...
He could use another year to improve yes, but wouldn't you want to improve under the best coaches in the world while getting paid?
Good luck Bray! Next Tom Brady!

Numbers are all that matters? The Vols should've recruited Timmy Chang.

Bray now gone, I expect CP will be declaring any day now.

With a new coach, completely new offense to install and almost all of the offensive stars gone and a defense that needs retrained, I would be very very very shocked if CBJ gets more than 5 wins this upcoming season.

I am still holding to my prediction of Tennessee's first ever 4-8 season.

We will beat 3 non conference teams and either Auburn or Kentucky, but not both.
