He will never make it in the pros. He may have the arm but is lacking in mobility, strength and especially between the ears.

Are you kidding? Those guys are all extremely mobile, as is the SF qb. Bray has ZERO mobility, which is why his NFL prospects are shaky.

One good game? Uh we averaged pert near 40 points a game this year. We even lost 2 when we scored north of 40.

I guess we could blame him for not scoring 50.

Only qb's that dont suck score 50 a game...and yes this is sarcasm.

I agree best thing for everyone involved. Good Luck to him i dont believe he will ever be a starter in the NFL, but ive been known to be wrong.

ppl are so wishy washy on here... at the start of the season ppl on here was calling him the next Peyton Manning and now you say he has a mental problem so dumb.......

Not making excuses for anyone. I know he had some bad moments and bad games. I just don't get some of the rude comments posted on here. I'm grateful for every td pass he's thrown the past 3 years. Can you imagine what our season would have looked like with one of the previous qbs taking snaps. Better yet, imagine what he could have done with good coaching and someone that pushed him to be the best he could be!

I agree with you that he will never be a starter but its better he take his monstrous attitude and go on to the nfl. You know somebody there is just waiting to break in a new qb. Boy wont make it in the big league.

I don't like Bray as a QB. I don't think he is a scrub I just don't like the way he plays and his demeanor. how ever I would definitely love to see him come back because we do not have a single proven QB on the roster. Also I would like to see if different coaching brings different results with the kid. We had a QB in a similar situation when Kiffin got here and that turned out fairly well and Bray has a lot more raw talent and better resume than he did.

Couple things here. First of all, that is not a "fact" at all. The definition of fact 1. Knowledge or information based on real occurrences:
What you stated is an opinion. Not a fact. Same as I did.
Again, for the fourth or fifth time I'm not hating on Bray. I wish him the best and thank him for playing here. But I'm not going to listen to the "second greatest season by a UT QB" stuff and not argue it. Plain and simple. I don't think big stats tell the whole story. Just my opinion. We had qb's before that won games where the opponent had more talent. I also don't understand the whole idea that someone can't be critical of Bray,yet in the same breath these people who say you can't be critical say we are going to suck at qb next year. Or they say our running backs suck. Are those kids not trying hard enough?
In SEC play this year he had a 55.7 completion percentage with 19 td's and 11 picks. Those numbers are not terrible, but they are a far cry from Heisman finalist numbers.

2012 season.

FL game ... He threw 2 picks

GA game : last 3 series Bray throws a pick, fumbles and throws another pick

SC game: Bray throws a pick.on TN's last series

Vandy : Bray basically did.not show up... Terrible game.... Bad attitude ...


I am glad he is gone.
Great arm with plenty of talent , terrible attitude, gets rattled easy then makes mistake after mistake.
I have been watching TN football for 50 years. Bray has the worse attitude I have ever saw from any QB at UT

UGA game ... He singlehandedly kept us from getting blown out. The fact that we even had a chance at the end was a miracle.

SC game.... Criticizing him for that pick is flat out funny. It was a perfect throw that the DB ripped from the WR in a one on one matchup on what was a semi Hail Mary.

The attitude thing may have some merit but a lot of it is just people trying to make him fit the narrative of scapegoat when he was about #37 on our list of problems. I'm not trying to paint him as one of the greats, but this criticism of Bray is just sad to watch.

Has anyone actually hung out with the guy?

I think he is kinda like Clausen, everyone hated him but he wasnt that bad of a dude

I'll leave with this. For the last three years almost everytime I've felt excited about UT football Tyler Bray was involved.

There is a big difference in Clausen and Bray.

Clausen knew how to win. I never saw him give up or not show up for a game.

Bray had the chances to do the 4th qtr drive to win a game. He always brew it.

Say what you want about the GA game a qb throwing 2 picks and fumbling on the last 3 drives was on Bray....period. he may have played well enough to keep us in the game and give us a chance to tie or win in the 4th quarter but he blew it as always when the game was on the line.

New name the games against good opponents he had a chance to.beat in the 4th quarter and blow it by throwing picks or fumbling.

Name on game Clausen did.not show up for. He list sonera game but he never gave up like Bray does.

Anytime Tennessee scores 30+ points I expect them to be blowing somebody out. That's how it use to be anyway.
