Bray

Alex Smith is only under contract for 2 years here. Bray has a three year deal. If he can keep out of trouble and let Andy Reid develop him into an NFL quarterback he has a good chance to play in this league. The college game vs pro game is so different.

Id much rather have Dobbs than Bray...its odvious the well rounded talent Dobbs has already displayed....

Huh? When did this happen? He hasn't even thrown a touchdown pass. Bray came in and lit up USCe's defense, and put up some of the biggest numbers ever from a UT QB. Dobbs has had a couple 30 yrd runs and, what is it, 4 INT's and 2 fumbles? Dobbs may turn out to be really good, but a lot of you guys are seriously grasping at straws here trying to make Dobbs into something he really isn't,at least not yet anyways.

Hahah based off of what? That's he's third string rookie year? What string are you again?

Yeah he has the talent to beat out Alex Smith :eek:lol:. Get real. Dude he went undrafted and got lucky that the Chiefs came calling. You must be one of those that thought he was great while he was here.

In case anyone hasn't noticed but Alex Smith has won 17 straight games as a starting QB. 8-0 with 49er's last yr and now 9-0 with Chiefs. Unbelievable.

:good!:

He is third string. Doubtful he ever becomes a starter in the NFL.

You underestimate how terrible the state of QB'ing in the NFL is outside of the elite players. You've got Jeff Tuel and Scott Tolzien getting some solid playing time in the league, and I'm pretty sure Matt Simms is one Geno Smith injury away from being the Jets starter as well.

Bray will get a shot somewhere.

I loved watching Tyler Bray play quarterback. I felt like we always had a shot with him back there.

This is also off topic but if CP Hunter and Bray stayed in college would CBJ be running the same offense as he is now?

As opposed to waiting a year to implement his system?

Would have probably beat Florida and kept the score closer in the Mizzou and Auburn games. Probably 5 wins right now and 7 wins at the end of the season.

Maybe but getting a shot and becoming a full time starter is a completely different thing. There is a reason he went undrafted, he is just not that good. Time will tell and I could be wrong but I always thought Bray was just an average QB.

The OP asked about Bray's progress as he hadn't heard anything lately of the guy. He did NOT ask what YOU THINK of Bray. It's amusing that one sees posts on the board jibbing at Bama fans for not being able to read, know what a computer is, and generally mentally challenged. Yet see PROOF that we have Vols fans who can't read, not being able to answer a simple question. And the answers that are given are stewed, fried, and broiled with just hatefulness and spite.

One progress I see in the man is he 's with the same team that took him as an undrafted free agent and has put in work to stay with that team. Whereas, Da'Rick had to have his rear end kicked twice (reprimand and later released) and we still aren't sure he has learned anything. Bray at least by his actions thusfar seems to have chewed his humble pie slowly to remember the bland and undesired flavor so he doesn't have to eat it again. But nevermind, one can't expect people who insist, demand, and require they hold a perpetual grudge to understand either the OP's or my own post. Carry on. You refuse to believe that your posts have impact on recruits and their parents, it's going to be if not already slammed home to you soon enough.
