Never liked him. Bray liked him some Bray and his signature win was......

What were Justin Hunter, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Mychal Rivera's signature wins? How many times did Manning beat Florida?

Is that really how you evaluate people?

Uh yeah, hunter, patterson, and rivera ALL depended on Bray. Do you watch football?

Maybe but getting a shot and becoming a full time starter is a completely different thing. There is a reason he went undrafted, he is just not that good. Time will tell and I could be wrong but I always thought Bray was just an average QB.

Are you serious? Then you must be blind, because Bray's physical talent is unbelievable. Reid is a great quarterbacks coach and he's grooming Bray right now to hopefully become the franchise quarterback in the next couple years if he can develop the mental play that is needed. Smith only has 2 more years on his contract, and while has a great record so far, only has so high of a ceiling.

Huh? When did this happen? He hasn't even thrown a touchdown pass. Bray came in and lit up USCe's defense, and put up some of the biggest numbers ever from a UT QB. Dobbs has had a couple 30 yrd runs and, what is it, 4 INT's and 2 fumbles? Dobbs may turn out to be really good, but a lot of you guys are seriously grasping at straws here trying to make Dobbs into something he really isn't,at least not yet anyways.

This is truth. In b4. "Not a true fan". "Negavol" "find another team". "My panties are all bunched up bc I'm a closet Vandy fan" etc etc etc. Averaging 1 td a game with Dobbs at the helm. Riley starts game 1 in'14. (Guess what, he can scramble too...without staring down receivers and throwing balls in the turf)

Yes, Bray would have been right next to MO, but what do you think our record would be now if Patterson and Hunter had stayed for their senior year? Just for fun.

I also agree with the poster who said He felt like we always had a shot with Bray in the game. He was definitely erratic but the bottom line was he could throw for 300+ yards and 3 or more TDs on any given day regardless of who we were playing...if he was "on" that game. Few QBs come through the SEC who can do that...there is a reason why he ranks behind only Peyton in most categories. For all his off the field failures and poor leadership...Bray is probably in the top 5QBs to lead our beloved Vols in my lifetime. (36yrs). Peyton, Clausen, Martin, Shuler, Kelly/Bray?

You're really blaming Bray for not getting a signature win? The defense took away defeat from the jaws of victory countless times.

While I mostly agree with the lack of defense argument, Bray had the ball with an opportunity to tie or win vs UGA and USC last year and turned the ball over both games.

A&M has a pretty horrid defense but Manziel always seems to score more points.

Good time to take back some of the crap I gave him last year. I was one of the biggest critics of his big game failures. But he would look better in Orange right now instead of red.

He would also be Ineligible with Mo Couch sooo....

Is it ok to use signature losses?

Seems that with some the FL game is the only one that mattered during Manning's days. Nevermind his 3 wins over Bama, 3 wins over UGA, and SEC Championship. Nope, only the FL game mattered.

The only loss I hold against him is Memphis. Granted there was a bad call that allowed them to score but it shouldn't have even been close.

Bray choked away signature wins and had signature losses vs UK and Vandy.

I'm with Woodsman. I hope every former Vol is a success in the NFL, regardless of their career in college. I hope that every NFL game has members in the starting lineup saying " The University of Tennessee" after their name. I hope that every high school football player see that and thinks, "dadgum they flat put some players in the league. "

I agree that he cost us the KY game, but it's not like I didn't pull some stupid stunts when I was that age.

Did you blaze up before one of the biggest Tennessee losses in nearly a decade?

Bray had a big arm and was accurate....But, that is it. Most importantly, his attitude of disrespect towards the program he represented was as big as his arm. I like VN, because it gives me chance to connect with other vol fans.....but the price of VN is...is that most cases VOLS fans(myself included) just use it a source to be witty, sarcastic, super quick to bash. I love it....But kid, instead of posting "thumbs down", maybe just Block me. Dont be little B***h

Not heard much, but he did impress in the preseason here in limited snaps. I'd say 2015, he's probably got a shot at the starting job if he keeps improving.

Please. Seriously. Can we at least not hold ANYTHING against Peyton on this forum or do we even have to criticize our UT royalty and the greatest player to even play the game of football? Here is something little to remind some of the kids on this forum who exactly who we are talking about here:

Peyton Manning Announces He will Stay at The University of Tennessee - YouTube

Great video.

But it still does nothing to change the fact that we lost to Memphis. ....not to mention going "ofer" against Florida.

...not all his fault, but that's the life of the QB. And he would tell you the same thing.

No one is above reproach.

That's it? You make it sound like every QB you can pick up off the street has those qualities when in fact it is very rare to have both such huge arm and great accuracy/touch. Bray is a very unique physical talent and if Andy Reid gets his head straight and keeps him focused he will turn a lot of heads once he gets into the game (wherever that ends up happening - may not be in KC but he will get his shot sooner or later).
