I disagree. He did, but it was all about foreign policy, not the economy. Bush tried to paint those who opposed him as unpatriotic, IMO.

I don't want to get into a argument about Bush but I'd have to disagree. I may be wrong, but I don't ever remember Bush calling people unpatriotic if they disagreed with him. Maybe others did but I can't think of any specific examples.

As far as Obama, I can't think of one speech that I've heard him give that wasn't a lecture.
