There is no law in the country that outlaws staring.

Not true. If someone requests that you stop staring and you persist, you could be violating any number of laws, depending on your locale. Harrassment would be the most likely.

Keep swinging, champ. You can't possibly bat .0000 forever.

Lol.

I find people who breath with their mouth open disgusting and offensive.

I'm sorry davethevol, you are going to have to cover up when you breathe out in public.

When I breath out in public? Is that hip slang that you youngsters throw around?

Pooping in public is unsanitary and spreads disease and stinks. Therefore, pooping in public infringes on the rights of others.

Breastfeeding does not. It only offends perverts.

Guess it depends on how she looks. I shouldn't have to even glance at an ugly chic's boobs in broad daylight.

There is nothing healthier and more natural than a mother breastfeeding her infant. Anyone who has a problem with it needs a reality check.

I still don't think its a good idea to publicly breastfeed, but if you are going to do it, cover everything up and keep it as private as you can. I've changed my opinion of it very slightly, but the pic of the woman graduating is one of the very reasons I am against it. That was a "look at me" moment, and for the wrong reasons. I think its great she graduated college, but to do that at a college ceremony with nothing covering yourself up is disrespectful to all those who don't want to see it.

Like I said, as long as its fully covered up and you are trying to direct attention to you feeding your child, go for it. It you can't simply apply a little common sense and make a spectacle out of it by not covering it up and letting everyone watch your motherhood exhibition, then that's a problem.

It's amazing that this woman was able to feed a baby while holding a gun to the head of those that didn't want to see it. I assume she only has two hands.

It's also amazing that people on the other side believe that everyone wants to see it, just because its natural. I have no problem with her feeding her kid, but she was pretty much just showing herself off. I don't know how you look at that pic and don't see that. If she had covered up, the photo wouldn't have made it as far as it has. Instead it would have been looked at as a tasteful way to publicly breastfeed your child, and that would have been just fine.

What are your thoughts on streaking? A person should be able to streak because no one would be forcing anyone to look, right?

There are laws against streaking. There are no laws against public breastfeeding. Are you capable of actually coming up with an apt comparison?

I don't care whether or not you want to see it. No one is making you look. But it is something that has to happen. Babies have to eat, and they eat frequently.

People are offended by seeing a child breastfeed because they're attaching a sexual element to the situation. That's a pervert.

My wife has breast fed both of our boys and there are sometimes you have to feed them in public. It's unavoidable. That being said if she had to feed them in public she made sure that she was in a corner and covered up as much as possible. She also tried to make sure that if we were going out in public they were fed before we left the house.

Don't look. Problem solved.

It's a boob! What's the big deal? Ever been to a beach in Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico?

Never understood our (US) hang up with bare breasts?

Or nudity(or a myriad of other things). It's like we've gone backwards.

I would think perverts would be supportive of public breast feeding. But my logic has been derailed by this thread.

Me either......I think we should stop covering breasts at all of our country's beaches

I'm pro choice myself. Top or topless..

Put up a sign by my pool bar "topless women drink free". Sadly haven't given out the first free drink yet.

They've invented these crazy things called pumps that provides mothers the means to feed her brood without them hanging off her ****
