I have heard Jesse be pretty complimentary of Butch and what he's doing at UT. I think he's a pretty good play by play guy. Still hard to get past the "gator" in him though.

Pollack though...somebody needs to throat punch that noob.

I voted improvement only because I can't stand Lundquist but they could have come up with somebody better than Musburger. He won't even admit the South exists most of the time, much less that we can DO anything! Yankee thru & thru! What is ESPN thinking??

Ron Franklin & Mike Gottfried were the best!! Where are they? Bring em back!

Growing up listening to some of these guys can make you fond of hearing their voices with a game on Saturday. However, it can really piss you off sometimes when you actually stop and listen to what they say. Like Verne mentioning Oregon's "shellacking" of us over and over again.

I'd take Musburger over Lundquist. I can live with Palmer. He seems to have intelligent input most of the time from what I've seen.

That's was the best crew! They called the game, no favorites and called it like they saw it. If a ref made a bad call they called it! I miss them when ESPN puts Corso or some other clown in on a night game.

I don't think he's ever called a NCAA Football game, but I like listening to Kenny Albert call NBA and NFL. He would be a good choice to replace the vern.

The worst color commentators ever are Joe Theisman and Joe Morgan. In boxing Roy Jones and Lennox Lewis are turrible too.

I have to disagree with you. Brent isn't fantastic by any means, but Verne is is absolutely awful.

At least Brent drools over an attractive young woman. Verne abused himself for four years every time he got to call a Tebow game.

Being old like I am, the phrase that brings back lots of football memories is "WHOAAAA NELLIE". Keith Jackson WAS college football broadcasting for many years.

I guess I'm in the minority. I really don't have a problem with Musburger, Corso or even Vitale because they genuinely love what they are doing. They love the game they are calling. Gary and Verne are in the same boat. I have no problem with guys that love what they are passionate about and love doing.

The more Gary and Verne call our games, the better. I struggle to understand why some of you all don't get this. 3:30 CBS is a good thing.
