Synopsis is that LSU is the easiest program to build dynasty at bc of instate talent and if Miles and Orgeron can win a natty then Kelly can build a dynasty.

Synopsis should be...............Don't be like the old Chancellor of Germany and invade Russia during the winter. Learn from the last two LSU coaches who were run out after two years of winning a Natty.
One went to KANSAS and the other will be selling gumbo from a food truck in a few months.;)

Gotta give a like for the historical reference

Who wrote that article a six year old girl? Brian Kelly had the easiest path to the NC of any program in the nation regardless of what LSU fans want to claim about admissions. It's hard to argue about a huge talent gap when ND's recruiting classes consistently remain in or near the top 10 almost every recruiting cycle the past several years. He had not league championship game or scheduling challenges other than their own preferences. The notion that Brian Kelly is a coaching savant just waiting to be freed from the chains of Notre Dame's academic standards is pure fiction. Is he a good coach? Yes. Is he head and shoulders above any other coach that already exists in the SEC? No, other than maybe Heupel, Beamer, and a couple other young head coaches. LSU has proven though that they can win a NC with average coaches so time will tell, I am not sure why he took the LSU job other than a significant pay raise because it is a much more difficult road through the SEC.

Agreed. Some the dumbest crap I’ve read in a while.

I would be willing to bet Kelly is ran off from LSU before Saban retires.

I would say that but the math is tough, someone came up with the Ed money but this is on a different level. Kelly is owed 90% of the remaining salary, if he doesn't win a natty.

After year 3 he would be owed $63m+, and they are actually paying the cookie monster thru 2025.

Kelly needs to worry about how long before it takes him to beat Bama before LSU kicks him to the weeds.

I'm really glad I clicked on that article. I just found a great idea for my retirement gig. I'm going to get liquored up and write BS football articles from the comfort of my own home to make extra cash.

Can I be a contributing writer? I will do hard hitting articles that expose which coaches are actually Lizard People

If Saban retires, it won't be because he's afraid of Kelly.

On the other hand and to the writer's point, if Kelly can build something at LSU, then UF (we assume) having to play them every year could be a similar setback that we've faced having to play Bama every year.

I think that's the only valid point to take away from this article.

IF Saban retires anytime soon, it's because he's getting old and sick of "self-absorbed" bammer fans... not 'cause of Brian Kelly.

LOL, reminds me of a "joke" Clay Travis told years ago. Something about Saban tweeting out that he stepped in a pile of dog $hit. If 5,000 Gump fans didn't show up within an hour on his front porch to lick the $hit off his shoes, he would quit coaching the Alabama football team. 20,000 fans showed up within 30 minutes.

This is really funny, Saban on the run because of Kelly at LSU……
I’m sure Saban is shaking with fear

If anything, Saban is afraid of that horrible southern accent that Kelly tried to use. By scared, I mean laughing so hard he was scared that he pissed himself.

Kelly is a joke, he is the patriarch of Botch Jones.

Also, Kelly was not able to persuade either coordinator to come with him. Will be interesting to see who he hires. He will need a great staff around him to succeed in that division with the expectations at LSU

Not to mention someone to recruit the locals spoken of in this thread. I just can't see him being that much "loved" by the La. folks.

Contract is crazy imo. Is there anything to stop Kelly from just basically underachieving till he’s fired?

Yeah, Bama beat ND's butt 42-14 in Jan 2013. Saban isn't worried.
That’s not really apples to apples. ND has much higher ACT requirements for athletes. He’ll get better talent at LSU, won’t be the end of saban but saying his ND ceiling is his LSU ceiling isn’t really logical.

It’s crazy how many elite coaches are in the SEC right now. Especially the west

If Saban is 70, Kelly is 80.

Kelly is like a Lou Holtz hire at South Carolina, except in this case plus $100m.

That guy has no business being in Louisiana.

What's the reception to Kelly's newly acquired southern drawl from the basketball game last night?

I have to say, I've watched the video about a 100 times, and it makes me laugh consistently every time.
