I’m just going to post this here because it’s not worth making a new thread. Coach Jones went 2-10 this year. I don’t think he’s a terrible coach but I’m glad we have coach Heupel 🇺🇸

He'll be miserable at first. Heh.

I remember my Long Island friends (husband and wife) when we first reported to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in June of 1986. They absolutely could not stand the heat. Other than one autumn and one spring in Northern Virginia for some training courses, they'd spent their entire lives in New York or Germany, to that point. Kind of like Kelly's life up north thus far.

But by the second summer, they were old hands. The wife still didn't like it, but the husband didn't mind. I think because he was outdoors almost all the time working, he acclimated much quicker to it than she did spending much of the day in air conditioning.

Kelly will be outdoors a lot, so he'll get used to it over the first summer. By year two, he won't think twice about it.

- Has won at every level of college football other than SEC

Strangest hire in college football history, its not that he is a yank either. I've known about Kelly since his GVS days thru personal family connections.

The heat is the least of the worries of what could go wrong.

Brian Kelly is a great football coach. He will own the SEC West with LSU talent, except Saban. He is a top10 coach. It is a very good hire.

Butch Jones absolutely is a terrible coach. He got lucky when he flipped Dobbs and Barnett. Butch couldn’t coach his way out of a wet paper sack.

I grew up in southern middle Tennessee and would push mow yard(s), bale hay, and then go to football practice. Our humidity never really seemed to bother me. My oldest daughter lived in Baton Rouge for 5 years, and my wife and I visited many times during the summer months. Brutal, and I mean brutal, would be my description of Louisiana humidity.

I don't understand how is there a question someone has of would Saban start running? He continually answers the bell. We literally have seen 1 year they dont meet their lofty expectations and the next they come right back and run away from the field. Why would anyone think Brian Kelly is the one that punches the ticket as the new king of the SEC mountain? He is a good coach there is no argument there. But the results of this poll should answer that. Since when has Vol Nation been this united about anything besides our own coaches being fired. This poll is a joke.

He'll get rubbed down with some spf 150 if that make that strength. I use minimun 80 on my face fishing a lot. Humidity is the drainer in those parts and not much better at night.

And I would say YES. Because of his strong recruiting.

He had Dave Arande AND Joe Brady as coordinators that one mangical year.
So if he had them again with Top 10 level talent (Notre Dame), yes he could.
