But then we'd have to debate as to whether the Barrel should be for Bourbon or Tennessee Whiskey. As we all know, Jack Daniels isn't Bourbon. : )
It actually is a bourbon, under the NAFTA definition. Tennessee Whiskey meets all the requirements of a bourbon, with the added step of charcoal mellowing.
But it doesn’t matter. Because both bourbon whiskey and Tennessee whiskey are whiskeys.
For some reason, some people have this misguided notion that bourbon isn’t whiskey. It is. Whiskey is the umbrella under which bourbon (including Tennessee whiskey), Irish Whiskey, Scotch, and others fall.
So Whiskey Barrel is appropriate.
