I've said several times, and I seem to be the only one, that I would like to see the team go with orange helmets with a white power T.

Maybe Orange pants with the 2 white stripes (like we had b4)with the road white jersey's but no way on the black. I don't even like the black shoes.

Orange on black like Stratford H. S., I don't think so. I remember the year when word got around that TCHFCATUTK ordered orange pants. I believe it was the season following the '98 championship. We wore the orange pants during homecoming against Memphis I think. Not only did we barely win the game (thank you Eric Parker), but we also looked very slow. So I view the orange pants as bad luck.

I would like to see some more black in the uniform. I love the all white road uniforms though.

I wouldn't mind the orange pants with white jersey every once and a while, but they better match the orange in the numbers and on the helmets. It would drive me crazy if there were 3 different colors of orange!:realmad:

Remember a few years back when they put that weird orange and black stripe under the armpit? We had a mediocre year, and they got rid of them.

That was 2002. We did crappy and everyone some accused us of being too flashy. That year reminded me a lot of 2005. We were coming off a good season and had a good preseason ranking, but had a bunch of off the field problems, injuries, etc. I noticed a lot of those preseason similarities about this time last year, but hoped they weren't bad omens.

You're not alone, Blood.

I remember a few years back 'Bama had home and road helmets. They wore red at home and white on the road for maybe 2 years. If any Bammers looking in, help me recall what years.

The Philadelphia Eagles had home and road helmets for a few seasons, I think maybe in the mid 70's it was. Why not orange pants and helments for the road.

If nothing else, at least bring back the fat stripe.

I could live with an orange helmet with white T. The more orange the better.

Getting rid of those pants may be the best coaching decision Phillip ever made. The only place the orange pants should be brought out to is the 50 yard line where they should be put in a big pile and burned. I guess you liked those hideous orange shoes they wore against Alabama that year, too, huh? And the white pants with the 2 foot wide orange stripe on the side...or the ugly white/orange shoes from a few years ago? Look no matter how much I love the Vols...orange gets gaudy and ugly quickly if you wear too much of it. Orange on white at home...white on white on the road...black shoes always.

white with orange wouldnt look so good imo. i think it would have to be a darker color to look good on pants if it wasn't white.
