Deshields and Russell will play their full three remaining years, I guarantee it. The WNBA doesn't pay a lot, and neither are on the level of a Candace Parker/Diana Taurasi/Maya Moore to command endorsements and high salaries overseas.

Not using their full eligibility would be crazy.

Russell could very well turn out to be a bust, but Deshields is a future WNBA All-Star and Olympian. She could absolutely be on the level of those other players, especially if she turns out to be the player who brings Tennessee back to national relevance....

I think Deshields will definitely be all of those things. She could end up being on their level too. However, until the money gets there, I don't see players not using their full eligibility.

I think Russell will turn out to be very good with two good feet under her.

it is all going to be how Russell does after her surgery,I assume all went well with it ? has anybody heard how she is doing ?

if she is healthy, which she should be next year,I highly doubt she will be a bust, she has talent,i can't imagine how much that had to hurt, plying on feet that neneded surgery, especially both of em

The sad thing is that Izzy isn't much beefier. When they say Tennessee is "thin" at the post, they mean it in so many ways...

It would be nice to have Russell playing if she were (healthy) stronger and quicker. So far, though, she is reminding me of Kelly Cain.

How much "beef" does Notre Dame have in their frontcourt? UConn has three active players on their current roster over 6 foot tall. The days of Pat's "corn-fed" posts are long gone....

I see more parallels to Ashley Robinson, but either way it's amazing how much injury bad luck we've had with highly touted centers....

Yes Brown will make her announcement on November 15th. Beatrice never really posts or talk about her visits on social media.

Taya Reimer probably outweighs Izzy and Nia combined.

I do think that ND's inexperienced frontcourt will lead to an unexpected loss or two. UConn has a solid trio (assuming Tucker is healthy), and can play KML at the 4 if needed. Plus they have a returning NPOY, so their lack of depth at the frontcourt, while significant, isn't crippling unless Stewart gets in foul trouble.

The challenge with Tennessee is that they don't play good post defense to begin with, and with no real backup for Izzy, she has to scale back on how aggressively she plays defense. She's always had a tendency to get in foul trouble, and they don't have the insurance of Mercedes on the bench to spell her. No one else on the team can defend the low post.

So a poster on the Baylor board said that Beatrice is in Waco this weekend, any truth to that?

If true, it's a last minute decision because she was down to South Carolina, Ohio State, and Tennessee. I haven't heard that this rumor is true or not.

This from "inside Carolina" (I believe she is listing & may have some upcoming visits with Tenn, USC, ND & maybe Baylor?). Of those schools I believe Tenn may have come to the recruiting party a little "late" & the fact that she is still giving them consideration is a little worrisome. Of all of her options the Lady Heels would offer her the best chance of coming in to make an immediated impact (Ex: at Tenn she would have to spend 3 yrs behind Russell assumming she returns healthy next year & USC is set for the next 3 yrs in the post with Coates & Wilson).

I still haven't heard any other source report on whether she is at Waco Texas or not but i sure hope that we're still in good shape with her.

Her final three were Ohio State, South Carolina and Tennessee and she has visited all three. I haven't heard anything that ties her to Notre Dame and i'm still waiting to know if her been in waco has been confirmed to be true.

We are with both her and Brown. However, I don't expect them both to go to the same school. If she is visiting Waco, then we may be in better position with Brown than previously thought.
