Okay, I'll let you guys reflect on 'ole Kevie's time at UT as if he wasn't Petino and Fogler's *****.

I probably would too if I thought O'Neill was fired and was incapable of spelling Pitino.

In other words, you're wrong and you keep making it worse, so you're going to post some witty insult and fade away.

Oh, please forgive me for my obvious lack of education when spelling the names of washed up college basketball coaches.

What will I ever do?

I instead of E - I need to remember that considering my future career goals depend on it.

It's good that they don't depend on your knowledge of basketball.

AER YOZ RELARTED TO KEVON ONEEL OR SUMFTIN!?!?

LMFAO!

One of the worst periods in the history of UT basketball and you people act as if this dude was a savior.

Minor upgrade to Houston? Maybe - but not much else.

I, for one remember seeing that moron on the sideline, dumfounded as Fogler and Pitino with an "I" made him their *****.

I went to every UT home BB game from 75-79. Mears was the KING of slow down basketball. It worked. They won games but the tempo was painfully slow. Coach Mears's style would not work in today's fast paced game - but he was a good guy. Don DeVoe was the Phil Fulmer of his time. Nice guy, got some decent players but was not good at motivating the kids. Green, Buzz and other were well, average at best and never bled orange.
Pearl is as on top of his game today as he was when he rode into rode into town 5 years ago. The difference is that the kids believe in him now and will follow him into battle. Coach Pearl has earned the respect of his walk- ons & scholarship players, and when you get a team playing together vs individually, your fan support will grow and strengthen, you''ll win more games and gosh darn it, someone on ESPN just might notice us! Go VolNation!!

That sounds like the ignorance I've read from people who claim Kiffin sucked when he inherited a complete mess from Fulmer.

No one is acting like he was a savior. But nice try at attempting to deflect attention from you being 100% wrong about everything you said.

Let me guess, you started watching Tennessee basketball when we beat Texas in '05?

...yeah.

Then why chime in on something you have no clue about?

Fogler and Pitino with an "I" salivated at the site of that bumbling moron.

Doesn't take a regular follower back then to know that Kevin O'Neill is a much better coach than Wade Houston.

This. Why is anyone even arguing this?

This fan base still has no clue (outside of hatvol who is a smartass but knows his ****) about basketball.

Alot of growing up to be done by these basketball "fans" who started watching when Buzz Peterson was hired or we beat Texas in '05.

So what team is Wade Houston coaching right now? In fact what teams did he coach after he was fired from UT?

I certainly wouldn't invite Wade or Kevin back. Just be glad MH made a great hire for the men's basketball program in CBP.

Except you're "aruging" with people who mostly have been around since Houston or earlier.

...and as a fan back then I'm sure you remember that yearly quadruple ass kicking we got from Pitino with an "I" and Fogler - with O'Neil at the helm of that 90's basketball powerhouse.

You people are ridiculous.

Worserer? LOL that is funny stuff. K O'neill took over a team that would have trouble competing against some Park and Rec teams. He left us for Northwestern before he had a chance to utilize the talent bc of the Kevin Whitted situation.

He was an amazing recruiter who set us up for j Greens run of tournament appearances. I loved going to the games back then bc the women played before the Men and I could go to the girls game which noone attended and keep my seat straight through the men's game in the student section.
