Thank Buzz Peterson alot of his success at UT. Buzz brought in the guys that Bruce has been successful(Bradshaw, Lofton, Smith). Yes Bruce has brought in some good players but the main players(as stated earlier) were brought in by Buzz. Bruce I hope Buzz is on your christmas list. Now Bruce has his talent and look what they are doing, they are terrible, and I mean terrible, cant shoot, cant defend, they can rebound a little but when you are missing so many shots you are going to get a couple of boards. Bruce you need to step it up big boy, the ship is sinking faster than the Titanic for this season.

It would be different if we were getting better every once in awhile but the best game we have played was well over a month ago and it has just went downhill from there. We have got blown out by a terrible Temple team, hammered by a not very good Kansas team, lost twice to a Gonzaga team that has just lost to Portland State and Utah.

This is just a really tiresome tendency by a lot of fans who, in previous years, applauded our tough scheduling and then came to expect a continuation of that tough scheduling to always produce wins.

We've lost to a really good gonzaga team twice, a solid kansas team on the road, and a flub in pennsylvania. This is hardly a sinking ship.

If we opted for the Billy D way of cupcaking our non-conference no one would be up in arms at an 11-2 record, even though it would be meaningless in comparison.

Do you know who #1 Pitt has played so far this year(besides gtown, who we beat)? Basically washington state and belmont.

Think about this for a moment.

I had yet to think of a way the defense could be any worse, but I guess another year of an undersized power forward being abused every game would do the trick.

Bruce is a better motivater, leader, recruiter, & salesman ( as in bringing recognition to the program ) but i think Buzz was a little bit better x's & o's guy.

This is a team with no shooters and when you will not play intense half court defense you will get beat by good teams. Coach Pearl has his work cut out for him. Chism is playing well and Smith. When is JP Prince going to finish a layup? This is D1 basketball not a game of horse out behind the house. He is too athletic to play the way he is bad ankle or not. Maybe Coach DeVoe could visit practice and instruct on how to play half court defense because we are no where near where we need to be headed into the SEC.
