I don't buy it. A rumor on a message board... A rumor is a rumor for a reason and a message board isn't a credible source. There is a link on ESPN for insider everyday saying Braylon Edward is going to this team, Anquan Boldin is going to that team etc. Anyone can start a rumor.

Maybe. Bruce Pearl was a good hire and Lane Kiffin looks like a good hire. What about Todd Raleigh though? He has been terrible. Not surprising considering he was pretty bad most of his career with Western Kentucky.

If Hamilton is going to make bad hires, I would much rather them be in baseball than basketball or football.

You mean you aren't as deluded as the half that realizes that not only are there coaches that are as good as Bruce Pearl out there, but there are coaches that are better? I don't understand how that is delusion.

That makes Bruce no different than any other basketball coach I have witnessed at UT.

I'm sure I'm going to get raked over the coals for this... but we were the worst program in the SEC over the last quarter century before CBP... and nobody cared.

He has one season that any other team before he arrived would have loved... with the exception of one team that happened to have arguably the greatest player in SEC history... and suddenly the guys that just started paying attention a few years ago have become experts on hiring better coaches.

And for the record, one of the foremost signs of delusion is when you're calling a bunch of other people delusional.

checked the records, and Ole Miss is just awful...

but we're also slightly ahead of Vanderbilt.

Guess we should offer Dean Smith a job...
I just know that I was listening to the radio every night under Wade Houston and Buzz Peterson, and then was there on opening night under Bruce Pearl... and both of those guys were hired after successful coaches were run off or fired because "we could do better".

Yeah, maybe we can... but number one in the country is the best we've ever done, and I want to see if they guy can finish number one... this isn't professional sports, you are stuck with the players you have... no matter what. I believe last season was the bottom of Tennessee basketball's current cycle, and a lot of people will be eating crow in a year or two.

He is engaged to a local girl and loves it here. I just cant believe all the Pearl haters. They must have not kept up with Tennessee basketball before he got here. With all the guard play we lost and made it too the SEC champ game last year. Yea he is awful:rofl:....What did Billy D do after his talent left? Trust me any team in the conference would be thrilled to have him including Kentucky when coach Cal screws there program up.

The only way Cal screws up KY's program is if he leads them to probation.

And, no, they don't seem to get too excited about Pearl whenever their job is open. As for most of the rest of the SEC - yeah, they'd take Pearl.
