And this is the team that was supposed to dominate the SEC this season?!!! :mf_surrender:

These boys couldn't even dominate lowly Georgia and are well on their way to going 0 - 2 against KY. Is there ANYTHING coming in next year that might help our porous defense? :bad:

we got teabagged. We need to move the ball more instead of just passing the ball back and forth at the top of the key. We either shoot 3 pointers or shoot directly under the basket. Does anybody on this team have a jumpshot and lock down D.

We don't play defense. And on offense one guy just drives the ball or we throw up a desperation 3. This was a top 10 recruiting class?

Has anyone taken into consideration that this is a young team with no outside shooters and factor in that Bruce may be is a little upset that CLK is getting all this money and Bruce did not? I am sure it is in the back of his mind that when he was hired he was told he would have to earn a raise and CLK came in with more money with a lesser coaching record.

Well #1 Meeks had a once in a lifetime game...it wasn't like we weren't getting a hand in his face. Yes the D could have been much better but if Meeks puts up his avg. points we probably win this game. It seems the problem with this team is shooting and not locking down your man or zone and keeping thier heads on a swivel. CBP has been coaching his arse off and he's been Yelling, not telling, everybody that this team wasn't ready yet and had a lot of work to do.

I know we're only two games in, but we should be a lot more competitive than we've seemed so far considering how down the SEC is in basketball right now.

I thought also T. Smith was going to shoot outside more to develop his outside game so he could be ready to play guard in the pros. What's up?

The consensus among the media pundits in the pre-season was that the Vols were the clear favorite to take the title for a second year in a row. Doing so would make UT the dominant team in the SEC. But, that clearly is not going to happen. I guess losing to lowly Temple should have been a harbinger of things to come.

I kept thinking that surely Meeks will cool off at some point and we'll be able to make a run. Guess not.:frown:

I think Bruce has way more to worry about right now than Lane Kiffin and his salary. You're joking, right?

This team lacks outside shooting and that is the biggest reason the offense doesn't work. Teams pack in their zone or play a soft man and UT can not win a game inside. Need to be able to shoot outside to keep defenses stretched and that will open up the middle.

To be honest no one on this team is a true leader and no one can step up and take over a game when needed...not even Tyler Smith. This whole team is VERY overrated and is in way over their heads.

The rest of this season is going to be a disaster and could get very ugly compared to expectations. This is not a team that can win the SEC East let alone the SEC outright as they were picked to do.

They can't beat the 2-3 Zone. They need to drive down the middle and dish outside. That's the only way to beat the 2-3 zone. Tatum seems like he is the only one makin the shots outside and every time woolridge gets the ball he pumps the frickin ball up. Am I wrong?

oh lord, here we go...true the game sucked and tennessee played wretched, meeks had an outstanding game, we played horrible D, cant shoot the 3...all true. but, what ive been saying all year is this...this team will play its best ball at the end of the year instead of now. Last year's team peaked in mid season then fell off pretty badly. I expect this team to get better and better with some bumps along the way. we are too young and way too skinny. we will develop.

So our team can't play defense or make a jump shot because bruce pearl is worried about is salary....
