several people mentioned Meeks by name as licking his chops and likely to hang 50 on us. I'm not sure dates were included.

Who were they? were they on here? the dates are listed when they made those comments.. i just didnt start hearing about this whole Meeks scoring 50 on us until this week

I don't recall specifics, but know it was here. Maybe the 50 wasn't there, but the idea that he would murder us was there.

well i definitely wasnt one predicting he would drop 50 on us at TBA, the shots he made were ridiculous.. i know we played poor d but theres not a lot of guys who can hit 10 out of 15 3's just shooting around alone.. i would predict maybe 30 or 35 if i knew our d would play like that last night but never 50.. and i still wont predict him scoring 50 in Rupp

Once the scrawny kid for Belmont went for 30 in TBA, everyone began to hypothesize about how badly the Vols would get burned by the real scoring threats they played against. Meeks going for 50 was, unfortunately, not all that surprising to anyone who's been paying attention.

Look no further than Meeks' wide-open 3 in transition, less than 2 minutes into the 2nd half.

The Vols had given up 26 to him in the first half...and, almost immediately out of the lockeroom, he's given the ball, behind the line, with UT defenders 10 feet away from him.

It's that kind of bone-headedness that we've seen from this team over and over and over again this season.

There are plenty of guards left on UT's schedule who are going to drop 30+ on the Vols this year.

Please people, does anyone remember our team in '04? How about '93? Bruce hasn't even had a losing season yet. I bet he doesn't have a losing season this year.

There are those on the board that say that the team just isn't very good, and I can buy that. The problem is, and this is what really irks me, they aren't that good because they aren't that smart.

CBP is a very good coach and this year is going to take time.
the people that predicted we would be so high were obviously counting on West and you have no idea what kind of effect that has on a team to lose what wouldve been the top or 2nd best player on team right before the season. It also effects the coach.
This team has to learn basketball again,
there is huge difference for alot of these guys

i completely agree that this team is very dumb... im still trying to find the guy who works for scout.com that posted on one of his strengths as being "Basketball IQ"
