Wow - I'm sorry but just leave now. That's ancient news by now. And it tells nothing about your chances of getting him.

From dandy don's web site. thought was very interesting on our chances of getting him

Brown Breakdown of LSU Visit
3/1/2009
Bryce Brown's Visit Breakdown

Friday: After academic meetings, Bryce met with the offensive staff and discussed their teaching process and gameplan of how they would use him initially in their offense. Bryce said, "I liked how they were planning to use me. Coach Porter(Running Backs Coach) was real cool and I see why he's considered one of the top RB coaches and recruiters in football." Then Bryce and Mr. Arthur Brown Sr. met for dinner with Les Miles and most of the coaching staff. Bryce was escorted for the rest of the night by running backs Charles Scott and Keelan Williams.

Saturday: The day started with breakfast with the entire coaching staff and then a tour of the academic center. "This is the best academic center that I've seen on all my visits. I like their plan for all students, not just the football players." Then he met with Coach Moffitt and the strength staff and got the "LSU Way" in the weight room. "Coach went over their daily strength program and showed me how he would help me be the best I could be," Brown stated.

Then one of the most enjoyable parts of the trip came when Bryce met with Coach Stud(offensive line coach). "Coach Stud was great, he had alot of energy and discussed the depth chart of the O-Line. He talked in detail about each of his linemen and showed his passion for protecting the quarterback and making holes for the running backs".

Meeting with Coach Miles: "The meeting with Coach Miles went great, he talked about my skills and how he pictures me in the LSU program. We discussed the success and the competition in the SEC and how they get their players ready for the next level. Coach Miles talked about the success of Coach Porter's running backs and all of the things that LSU can do for me. I was very impressed and intrigued by what LSU had to offer, and it made me think about what I could offer them."

Saturday ended with a night out on the LSU campus with future star quarterbacks, Jordan Jefferson and Russell Shepherd.

It looks like the Tigers will be a force to be reckoned with on Brown's signing day(March 16th).

geaux tigers!!!

Troll. Quoting Brian Butler no less.

Still a troll, but an exceptionally dumb one at that.

While I am sure that it plays big inside Baton Rouge (like sausage, corndogs, incest and jorts), everyone outside of those (thankfully) narrow confines finds your perpetual spelling of "GO" as "geaux", quite frankly, hilarious.

Do you not know that its use serves only to further reminder everyone of your shared ancestry with the cowardice French?

It's like walking around bragging to others while showing them a picture of your fat mother/aunt (incest hybrid), nude, passed out drunk in the middle of the street.

If I wanted to see that, I'd go to Mardi Gras.

Or, your family reunion.

Either / or. Six in one hand.

TenaciousD, brotha, everybody in Baton Rouge aint a tiger fan; there's a few orange-blooded rednecks here. People don't typically eat corndogs here; much as I love my home in East Tennessee, there is no comparison with the food here (But I hope you guys will let me come home and eat some homemade biscuits). And French ancestry? Whoa, dude, some of us are French Huguenots by way of Virginia and the French played a crucial role in helping America at end of the revolutionary war. I know this is a football site, but come on, dude, switch to decaf. Geaux Vawls.

Decaf would make him boring and most likely annoying lol...I like his hyped up postings :good!:

Yeah I decided against sending a friend request to BB because, first of all, I didn't want to somehow be part of a recruiting violation. I don't know the rules, and I guess it is okay to be friends with them, but I didn't want to chance it and be part of the reason we didn't get him or be part of the reason the university get further embarrassed by violations. And as for the wall posts, they show that we support him, but they are weird. I think people went too far when they started doing that. And LPE obviously felt like people had taken it too far if she deleted her profile. I doubt it will have any effect on his decision, but still, I think we messed up on that one.

I sent friend request to both BB and OC mainly to see if I could figure anything out on their recruitment and like one person has already said, to pass the time until the decisions are made. If you think what has been written on BB wall is bad, look at OC's profile. HE made a status update about how he will be deciding on Fri and all the comments from the different fans (not just UT) were obnoxious and over the line at times. I agree that there should not be an all out war on these kids facebook walls, but at the same time I dont think there is anything wrong with becoming their friend.

As I had said in a previous post, some players talk about how a certain school showed them more love than the other. Well, when I see that BB has several times more friends from UT than a few other schools combined, I can see that love first hand. OC on the other hand has more friends from UGA, although it is only by a few. Maybe more of the VN posters should add OC, just dont say anything to him. Maybe a "congrats" when he signs on the big orange line... But I do agree that there is not anything anyone of us can say that would sway either two of these kids to sign with us. The only thing we can do by running our mouths to these kids is lose them. Be their friends, just dont show how enormously creepy you really are, or at least wait until after they have signed their LOI.

As you're a Tennessee fan, I apologize to you, alone, and no others.

However, attempting to differentiate or segment anyone's French ancestry for the sake of making ones own sect out to be "better" or more preferred to another is akin to someone claiming to be the least stinky turd in the toilet.

Decaf? No, man - I'm high on life.

From what I can recall, or have heard, the LSU visit was about what you would expect - pleasant, good time, but no earth-shattering news came of it, really(same could be said by LSU fans regarding his Tennessee visit, too, I guess).

There was an incident a local bar where his brother (allegedly) told a bouncer to "Frick Off!" for some reason or another, and although it doesn't seem to have amounted to much more than that (even if that is true), it was blown way out of proportion both here and at tigerdroppings.com, at least by some.

As a follow-up question - I don't recall ever hearing if the Browns ever actually visited or attempted to meet with Miami, and if so, what the outcome of those meetings entailed. Someone else will have to bring you (and me) up to speed on that one.

Great, thanks for the info.

A little late there, huh?

Wow, you hit the nail on the head there bro. I am enormously creepy. I must be a stalker because I am friends with BB and OC on facebook. It has nothing to do with these two players being some of the best recruiting sagas I can remember. Nor does it have anything to do with investigating the possibility of them leaking ANY type of useful info -which to some extent they have-.

What you missed about my post was that I was saying don't show them how enormously creepy you are by blabbing on their walls. Adding a friend on facebook says nothing, writing "Bryce, you should sing Rocky Top at your decision date. That would be amazing" is creepy. I know you may not be the brightest person but you can see the difference there right?!

But I'm sure you are just a saint, so Im sorry.

Not creepy my friend, just retarded. Your previous post (the rant) seemed to take one position and then all of a sudden changed tone and logic by saying we should add OC and BB as friends. I think we should all just leave it alone at this point...and the "love" isn't about Facebook...kids were saying that way before the Internet dominated.

To clarify, I never said that it was bad or creepy to be friends with these guys on FB. All i said was that I was going to stay out of it because if I did post something on his wall and he didn't come here, I would feel like I might have been partially to blame. Just my personal feelings. And if Lacey Pearl Earps does read this forum, then I would say to her that I am sorry for the way that she has been treated by the hordes of anonymous internet posters, and would like her to know that I am glad that she has been such a great hostess to the recruits, and that she represents our university in a great way, and that I hope she will keep it up.

Aside from making personal insults, I appreciate your post, but I see it differently than you.

I try to put myself in their place and I would personally find it not only creepy, but quite annoying to have all these friend requests from strangers.

Friend request, to me, means the other person is actually that, a friend, not a complete stranger. If assuming that in itself is a little creepy, then yes, I must not be the brightest person in the world, but then again, I never claimed to be.

What I was saying in my post is that showing your support by becoming their friend is one thing, writing ridiculous things on their wall is another. Add them as a friend if you wish, but dont become a nuisance to them. Understand now?

I know that recruits were saying that way before the internet dominated, but that doesnt mean facebook cant be a tool used by fans to show their support and "love". Who would have thought 10 years ago that there would actually have to be regulations put on text messaging prospects? The game is changing, and technology is seeing more relevance in every area. Comprende amigo?

Noted, and dually appreciated. I suppose I am used to having people I barely know asking to be my friend on facebook without finding it creepy. I have also been a member for 6 or so years now -my gf freshman year of college thought it would be nice to make me an account-. They have the option of confirming or denying any friend. If they didnt like the attention they wouldnt confirm. Thats all Im saying.

I apologize for the insult, good day.

A very standup thing to say, and good day to you as well.

You do realize that they don't have to accept requests from people they clearly don't know, right? If I don't know someone, I won't accept their request. You can see where these people are from. And if you don't like something they do, you can break the friendship. It really isn't that difficult to keep your FB under control.

When I was being recruited, they used something called "letters"! WOW! Things have changed!:wavey:

All this talk is inspiring me to create a facebook next year posing as a big time recruit in 2010 and screwing around with people.
