I won't be switching away from an O. But, I'm happy to have learned more about another program over all this. I will follow UT a little more now, regardless of how the Brown thing turns out.

On-topic, not to take away from the "leaks" saying Brown to UT. Maybe it's true. But, if it is, why would he still be planning an unofficial to Miami on his own dime? Doesn't seem to add up.

We talked at length about the loss of his family member and his faith. I was more interested in the man rather than his destination (at least for the next 4 years).

And being 40 and being on FB is not a bad thing. I have coached for 15 years at various places and it has allowed former players and I to maintain contact and for me to see their families and their children. It is a great tool when it is used appropriately. Now if you are 40 and on MYSPACE...well then you may have issues.

He COULD be going to the U to see his brother? Maybe? South Beach? No school currently? Just a thought.

When people here said he was on FB, I was wondering if he added normal everyday people and how accessible he was in talking to them. Like I said, we have talked twice, and it was nothing about his recruitment process or anything about LPE. Having been a coach/teacher for 15 years, I feel I can relate to kids without coming across as "creepy" or a "stalker." The key is to show a genuine interest in the person and not be focused on what the relationship does for you. I am sure we can all agree on this.

I can say this...at 10:30 PM on Saturday night...during his LSU trip...he was online. I kind of found that odd. Honestly, he seems to be a class act...he would be a welcome addition to CLK and the program.

I relate to the Braves fan here...I refuse to get my hopes up until the name is on the paper and the ink is dry. This offseason SUCKED for Braves fans like myself. We don't believe ANYTHING we read anymore on blogs (thank you Dave O'Brien).

I think that's a pretty cynical view of Brown to think that he would tell the nation that he is taking an unofficial visit to the school of Miami and then just hang out on the beach with his brother.

Hmmm...maybe that's why it is an UNOFFICIAL visit????? Because HE is paying for it?? HELLO??? Geesh...he gets to see family, go to the Beach...and possibly talk to the coaches. Yeah...I don't understand either.

How does the omelette on your face feel now?

Is there room for the one you'll get from Brown's decision to fit over the top of the one you have from Wheaton... when he chose to go to Oregon State? Or, the one from Pryor when he chose to go to OSU?

I'd say, you need to learn from your mistakes and quit repeating them.

i agree. for him to have made those comments about our talent level, and then half of our teams are friends with him on FB, says alot about his character and personality.

maybe we should all start a Braves fan support group. i am still suffering mental harm from losing Tex.

We aren't the only fans stalking him. I became friends with him on Myspace but haven't sent him a comment or anything, just did it out of curiosity. There are a lot of UT fans that do, but it's also Oregon, Clemson, LSU, etc. fans. I agree, back off this kid for the time being, and if he decides to come to Knoxville, send him many, many thank yous.
